Cartoon Network's downfall!

Not to mention the live action shows, the manbabies' biggest point of contention, did horribly in the ratings and they went back to doing mostly cartoons. Too bad about the Cartoonstitute clusterfuck, though.
I heartily approve of Cartoon Network's new direction of creating shows that are a gateway drug to Adult Swim. Hell, one of their upcoming series was produced by the Superjail creators during the ridiculous amount of time it took Adult Swim to renew Superjail. |

Actually, MAD's last gasp was when they tried to reboot the magazine and make it more like the Harvey Kurtzman era aroung '97 or '98. That lasted, oh, about three years, then TW decided to go in the opposite direction. At least Bill Wray got to do Monroe.

Why is every 'wacky' cartoon that comes out now labelled a Spongebob clone? A shit-ton of animators worked on Spongebob, so naturally their aesthetic touch carries over into shows they created themselves.
Not as good as the pilot, but +3 stars for the cartoon and +1 for the Adult Swim guys taking over Cartoon Network and greenlighting shows that are basically a gateway drug for Adult Swim. |

I'm not going to rate this.
Why, why, whyyyyyy did they not have Joe R. Lansdale script this? Besides introducing Hex into a slew of Bruce Timm cartoons, he wrote a handful of Vertigo miniseries where Hex fights grotesque horrors, Lovercraftian and otherwise. He got sued by Edgar and Johnny Winter for the second one because he portrayed them as retarded, flesh-eating wormmen.
Fuck it, 5 stars for reminding me of Joe R. Lansdale. |
