Dawn of the Dead (1978)
02/10/09, 14:58

Romero has said many times (especially on the special edition box set) that he never felt Dawn of the Dead was a horror movie. He always thought of it as a live-action comic book adventure (which is one of the reasons he didn't go with the ending where Peter shoots himself and Fran leans into the chopper blade).
Barton Fink - Tony Shalhoub

He's taken a interest!

If one looks at the dates on the dailies, it's revealed that this scene is taking place on the same day as Pearl Harbor.
Care Bear Stars - Trap and Slaughter

I wish I could give you -5 stars for thinking I was serious.

It's called a homage, you munch.
Care Bear Stars - Trap and Slaughter
02/09/09, 17:27

It's more a case of misguided sycophant praise from other people trapped in a cocoon of anime culture. They unironically think this is awesome and deep.
Foxes On A Trampoline
02/09/09, 16:50

It may look cute and fun, but trampolines are the third leading cause of spinal injuries in young foxes.
Care Bear Stars - Trap and Slaughter

Lessons I learned from this gripping drama:

1. It's rude to vomit when you see a room filled with dozens of mangled corpses.

2. If there's a pretty clear indication that a superpowered mass-murderer is in the same room as you, spend five minutes chatting on Skype.
Mr. Death: The Rise and Fall of Fred A. Leuchter, Jr.
02/08/09, 10:48

No, that would be The Thin Blue Line. As good as this is, it didn't save someone from death row.
Bishop Richard Williamson - Gas Chambers, Anti-Semitism and the Truth
02/06/09, 14:14

Just put Errol Morris' documentary on Leuchter in the hopper.

Nice to see Benedict hasn't forgotten his roots.
Soulja Boy - Yahh Trick Yahh
02/06/09, 13:56

Soulja Boy's rebuttal to the Wire.
1985 intro for 'The New Twilight Zone.'
02/03/09, 20:43

The New Twilight Zone wasn't too shabby. Harlan Ellison's adaptation of Stephen King's Lovecraft pastiche is great, as well as the Greg Bear story about truckers who drive souls to hell that's a giant slam on the Moral Majority.
Animaniacs vs. Death

Anime Tail Pull is more witty than this clip.

Fuck you, this show was shit.
Anime Tail Pull
01/31/09, 21:29

Jesus has nothing to do with this.
Doomsday 2012: The End of Days
01/31/09, 16:32

In Grant Morrison's conspiracy-saturated series the Invisibles, the "apocalypse" in 2012 is humanity evolving to the next stage of existence.
Beavis and Butthead - Crowbar
01/31/09, 15:03

King of the Hill, movies, and his upcoming series The Goode Family.
Superman - Say No to Cigarettes
01/31/09, 14:05

See Superman: Red Son.
Superman - Say No to Cigarettes
01/31/09, 14:04

This is the third time this thing has shown up here, but Superman murdering a guy for a misdemeanor is always a 5.
The 'Magneto Is Kind Of A Jerk' clip with synthesized voices
01/30/09, 01:13

It will be severely disappointing if this isn't sampled on the next MF Doom album.
The Marvel Show 1965
01/30/09, 01:00

Amazing. Ditko is a proto-Steve Sutton. Billions of stars for Jack Kirby and Wally Wood appearing on the same record.
