It's sort of the biggest tragedy of The Boondocks (And really a lot of comedy that examines african american culture from a satirical standpoint) is the fact that it's continuously misinterpreted by dumb white people and used as an excuse for them to act racist.
I really wish more people who watched this show understood that there's a difference between Aaron McGruder satirically examining the group of people he belongs to and dumbass white teenagers calling people "Niggas" and insisting it isn't racist because they're using it to mean "ignorant motherfuckers" |

Man, the animation on the new HD opening is really stiff and boring.
I think it's kind of a good example a lot of animated shows have suffered from since computers started being a big thing in the animation industry: They're too concerned with being "on-model" which means a lot of dudes in the industry are afraid to do those crazy inbetweens that make things look lively.
Also back in my day we drew all our cartoons by hand and they only cost a nickel |

Not to mention the fact that it buys into the whole scare tactic of holding the internet itself responsible for this sort of thing. It's the idea of scaring parents by blaming that got dang newfangled technology rather than actually looking at the problem and understanding it as an extension of regular bullying.
It's blaming the medium rather than the people responsible for this.
That and the main character is an unlikable douche who trivializes actual discrimination her gay classmate faces in order to focus on her own first world problems |
