Best part is the trivia:
Lost their main location (a dungeon) during the shoot due to a financial dispute. At the last minute the production luckily found a horse barn in upstate New York.
No animals were in the screenplay. The animals that appear in the film wouldn't move out of the shot when the location owner called them.
