01/21/09, 18:36 What was everyone's problem on this show? Blossom was ugly, joey was stupid, the older brother was alcoholic, the dad had killed their mom or something? |

Subwoofer cat
01/20/09, 17:47 I really don't like the way failblog and cheezburger are becoming the new ebaumsworld when it comes to taking other people's videos and rebranding them. Do they ask permission, at least? |

Oliver Reed on 'After Dark' pt 1
01/19/09, 00:24 Oliver Reed's death (from Wikipedia): He was 61 years old and was reported to be heavily intoxicated at the time of his death. Racking up an $866 alcohol bill, Reed had reportedly drunk three bottles of Captain Morgan's rum, eight bottles of beer and numerous doubles of Famous Grouse whisky. He also beat five much younger Royal Navy sailors at arm wrestling at a bar called "The Pub."
I want to die like Oliver Reed. |

Tropic Thunder - Scorcher VI: Global Meltdown
01/16/09, 14:04 Robert Downey Jr. should get an Oscar nomination for this movie. All bullshit aside it's a pretty accomplished piece of acting, at least in the sense that you can easily forget that it's him. |

Jack-O DVD commentary
01/12/09, 03:50 According to wikipedia, the dude actually did storm out of the room, but returned later. Still, awesome.
As a commentary fan, what are your favorite commentary tracks on DVDs? I love Soderbergh, especially on Out of Sight, but anything with John Carpenter and Kurt Russell is awesome as well, especially Big Trouble In Little China. |

Weimaraner ruins opera
01/11/09, 13:02 Most televised operas have subtitles, and it's certainly commonplace to have a screen showing the dialogue in actual performances, so I'm not sure what you're on about.
Check out Chandos Operas in English for pretty decent translations that are sung in our fair language. Tosca's pretty good. |

Korchek's Love Letter, from Schizopolis
01/09/09, 22:42 I have such a boner for this movie. Really need to get it on dvd. Soderbergh cast his ex-wife as the lady here, and apparently it was somewhat awkward. |
