Chuck Suffers From A Cluster Headache

I have a very mild form of neuralgia that causes me to have episodes of lancing pain behind in one side of my head (sometimes behind one eye). The pain only lasts for about 5 seconds to a minute, but it's bad enough to make my face involuntarily contort; I sometimes break out in a sweat or start to hyperventilate during the long ones. They come in clusters; I'll have maybe 3 (give or take) in a day for a few days, then next to nothing for weeks, often months.
When I was diagnosed my doctor told me: "Whatever you do, don't go home and wiki this. You'll just scare yourself." He explained that what I experience is apparently a drop in the bucket compared to what people with cluster headaches (and atypical trigemnal neuralgia; I gather it's hard to distinguish the two sometimes) experience. I cannot imagine what they feel. Life can be a horrible, horrible thing. |

His argument seems to boil down to: "Laws against drunk driving are SO EFFECTIVE that we don't need them because drunk driving hardly ever hurts anyone because the laws are SO EFFECTIVE."
Let's apply that logic elsewhere! Hey, why do I eat all this food every day? I'm 29 and I haven't ever starved to death, so why all the food? I spend SO MUCH MONEY on food, and yet people in my country almost never starve to death. STOP EATING FOOD EVERYONE!
Argh.
I consider drunk driving to be a little like indiscriminately firing a gun in public: Even if you only do it once every 34 years, and even if you don't hit anyone, I'd really prefer it if the police got involved. |

5 to 7 minutes really does seem to be the limit. My friend and I watched this by taking sanity breaks every 5 minutes or so. Even with that strategy we only made it about 20 minutes in.
That said, I have a feeling that the comparable videos of idiot democratic rally folks would be even harder to watch. |

That's awesome. If I have time later I might be able to translate some of that, but I don't recognize some of the signs local to Cairo. (For example, the signs the manager demonstrates starting around half-way through the video are all different from the ASL I'm used to.) |
