See, the thing that I'm actually interested in is that there are a couple of legitimately talented indie workers signed on for this thing. GLOW and its short-lived followup, WOW, basically had a bunch of would-be actresses, models, and the occasional stuntman on the roster, as opposed to anyone with actual wrestling training.
Don't get me wrong, if it ever gets to air, it will be a trainwreck, but there's an off chance that there might actually be some decent wrestling involved. |

The "Dubious Accents" is here for Novarro. He was supposed to be playing a Russian.
Still, Garbo always had it going on. The dialogue is ridiculous - 'BUT YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!!' but it doesn't even matter. Garbo is just vamping it up and leading the audience around by the nose and there ain't a damn thing the script can do about it. |

Holy shit, the looks she gives at :57 and 2:47.
Brooks was an interesting person, too:
* She basically got blacklisted in Hollywood for making a couple of movies in Weimar-era Germany.
* She was completely open and honest about her sexual relationships (she liked it rough).
* She fucked Greta Garbo.
* After like 30 years in obscurity, she became a film historian in her own right.
* The haircut that defined an era.
* She fucked Greta Garbo.

For what it's worth, it looks like he was going way the fuck too fast through that intersection. I'm completely bullshit estimating here, but I can't imagine the speed limit was more than 45, and he was going way the hell faster than that.
I'm not saying that he's even remotely at fault here, mind you, but he was hauling fucking ass. |
