When I was about 16 I thought it was cool that there were a few "Japanimation" tapes for rent at Blockbuster, but even then the novelty wore off pretty quickly as I realized that each story was a retelling of the last except with a different set of teen superhumans who save the world using their angsty secret love for each other and pantyshots. By the time I graduated highschool Suncoast Video at my local mall had just installed a separate section for that stuff, and I was well past caring about any of it. |
