yes, you don't aim machine guns. they have a "beaten path" in front of them. the operator is trained to position that path to provide suppressing fire that allows other elements of the unit to maneuver around the enemy and kill him. of course if they manage to hit someone themselves that's a bonus, but the main use of automatic weapons is as a base of fire |
