The Pledge of Allegiance
09/06/08, 05:22 I fucking hate the idea of little kids---or hell, anybody for that matter, but especially little kids who don't really know any better---being forced to pledge allegiance to any organization or government or any symbol that represents said organization or government. The God part just makes it suck a little bit more. |

Obama on 'The O'Reilly Factor'
09/06/08, 00:21 One of these men will go into the history books as a president of the United States.
The other will be vaguely remembered as that asshole who used to be on TV. |

What Have We Learned, Charlie Brown?
09/05/08, 13:14 Eventually it dawned on the creators of the Charlie Brown specials that they didn't really need any kind of occasion (holidays, mostly---there was a goddamn Arbor Day special) to make a special and they just started putting them out for the hell of it.
I've never seen all of "Bon Voyage Charlie Brown (And Don't Come Back!)" in one sitting but it's a pleasant surprise to find out there's a sequel to it. |

Creators of the RDI Halcyon interviewed on The Computer Cronicles
09/05/08, 04:57 2,500 circa 1985 dollars for a machine that never understands you and speaks in a retarded "fitter happier more productive" voice and the main game for it is a cross between a Choose Your Own Adventure book and some kind of really shitty fantasy cartoon? riiiiiight.

Rage Against the Machine a'Capela
09/05/08, 04:25 I fucking hate acapella.
But I guess I fucking hate the Republican Party using the local police as their personal thugs during their faggy little election party thing more than I hate acapella. |

The 9-11 Tribute Video at the RNC with Keith Olbermann's Reaction
09/05/08, 04:00 The date was September 11th, 911?
Over 800 years before the United States existed as a nation.
Over 600 years before the Gregorian calendar was widely adopted.
And damn, did those terrorists have some amazing technology for that day. |

Zero Punctuation - Eve Online
09/04/08, 00:01 Tried to play the free trial for about two hours.
It outlasted the Star Wars: Galaxies trial by about 45 minutes.
It might be a fun game if it didn't disconnect every ten goddamned minutes.

BBC News on EpicNoseGuy's court summons
09/03/08, 00:41 They wouldn't even come out to defend their point of view when the news people came around and referred them to the police instead?
What a bunch of pussies. |

South Park - Leopold 'Butters' Stoch Tapdancing
09/03/08, 00:26 This and Terrence & Philip singing that "chicken and lamb" song in their first TV appearance in the early 60s constitute two of my favorite musical things from South Park. |
