What a piece of crap that woman is. A cheap, sleazy friend of mine called me up with this exact same question.. including that he bought a wireless extender and everything, and that he felt a victim because he lost his source of free (read: stolen) Internet. For a while he had control of the guy's router because he found out the default password for the unit, and locked it up so the guy couldn't change the settings to block him out. Eventually the guy caught on and must have done a hardware reset, then added his own password. This is when my "friend's" scheme fell apart. I told him he was an asshole, that there was nothing I could do to help, and even if there were I wouldn't because he's a dick. |

Randroid, there was some study that came out a year or so ago that stated the CCTV cameras do not prevent crime, mainly because there are so damn many of them no one can watch them all. They're only good for prosecution, IF they can find the recording and if that recording is clear enough to ID the suspect. So in other words, useless. |

If you mean reliable as in maintenance, then you are mistaken. My dad has a 2000 vette and it has never had a problem except for one of the headlight motors failing. Then again he doesn't drive it like a fucking idiot. |

According to the CIA World Factbook, the US consumes 19,150,000 barrels of oil per day, so 1 billion barrels would last us 52 days. This guy has been fighting for 39 years to drill in pristine nature for less than a 2 month supply of oil.
I've never heard of shale oil or the Green River shale deposits. Interesting stuff. Wikipedia states "The Green River Formation contains the largest oil shale deposits in the world. The 213 billion tons of oil shale contain an estimated 2.38 × 10¹¹ m³ (1.5 trillion US barrels) of shale oil."
If the barrels-per-day rate stayed the same, that is enough oil to last us 215 years. |
