Being annoyed by hippies and nerds is WELL worth the price of admission. I loved being in academics, in a certain way I wish my day was still dedicated to learning and experimenting, talking about history and playing in the photolab, then going to the local bar later and talking exchanging stories about the classes my friends were in. College was great, and not for the parties or the sex, but just for the plain mental exercise that living in the real world doesn't give me anymore except the rare occasion my friends are not busy at the same time I'm not.
I'll never regret my time in college, and my first two years there sucked. Go back to school and don't worry about the social aspects and you'd probably like it too. |

I am a proponent of backwards compatibility and the SNES was supposed to be backwards compatible but it was scraped late in the design due to it driving the unit price unreasonably high in their minds.

I never watched it much when it was on because it was impenetrable, preferring Farscape for my left-field scifi because it was just more accessible.
So I just watched this and it actually looks alright. I remember things being a lot more slapstick and not so dire and dark. Like, I remember the dead guy turning into a tree in one episode and the lady being 40 stories tall and destroying a city like godzilla.
I also remember the chick being a different actress. Gotta say, I prefer this one. Goddamn. |

I stopped playing them after the second one. The single player stuff is basically an action movie ride that you have little control over. The multiplayer is filled with assholes that think Jew is a pejorative for anything that displeases them (that bomb is such a Jew). So of course it's the greatest selling series of all time. Fuck, as much as I like to think of games as a legitimate entertainment medium, shit like this makes it a real tough argument. |

I too have been around since around the beginning of PoETV, and lurked on news occasionally. We still have great moments of synchronicity, which IS totally the best parts. BUT, we no longer have Roachbud and no one could ever take his place. |
