I have a BA in English and have only taught ESL/EFL. I was working at a language school for K-1 exchange students, basically the first stage before they go to real college, preparing them to take classes in English. It's the career I fell into when I went off to Korea and it's all I'm qualified to do now. I'm the the catch 22 of being an experienced teacher without the right education/credentials for real teaching unless I return to Asia, which is what my plan is now anyway. Hopefully, when I return to the states again, I'll be better prepared and choose a place with opportunity without the cost of living this place had.

Nope, I'm in California, soon to go back to Asia most likely because while teaching English is a dead end over there, at least it's sustainable.
My mistake may have been moving to the Bay Area. I could bounce back much easier if it if the rent wasn't so damn high. |

I just got laid off today. Student enrollment is down and someone had to get the axe as they reduce classes and staff costs. I said goodbye to my students, my co-workers and even cried when my bosses handed me my last paycheck.

Spoiler: All this is the coma itself. Giant flying fire whale and Snake/Big Boss with a horn seems too nuts even for Kojima.
Then again...MGS4...hmm.
The I figure it, there re two sorts of metal gear. There is the subdued (by Kojima standards) MGS 1 and 3, a little too self-serious, but a little more grounded (i.e. grounded at all) and the balls out nuts MGS2 and 4, 4 almost feeling like a self-parody if it came from anyone but him.
I guess...I'll play it anyway...I sorta love these for just how nuts they get. |

I saw a video in my church youth group claiming that this movie was satanic because of sexually provocative dance moves, citing the hypocrisy of Hammer not inflicting violence, but then dancing "sensually" (read: spinning around next to) with one of his female backup dancers.
I think the video was called "the lure of rock", real Billy Graham stuff, but it was like 20 years ago. |

I remember I watched this regularly, to the point that my mom found it amusing because she though the movie was crap. Yet I remember almost nothing about it, other than a one lined about a lazy laser that just 'lays there.' Seeing this intro again, I realize it's just madness. |
