Is this all he really does now? A yearly roundup? He can't get Newswipe, Gamewipe or Screenwipe on air anymore? I mean, it would make sense, he is constantly criticizing the system, would be surprised if he pissed too many folks off to have regular shows anymore, but still. I want more Brooker in my life. |

I had the first issue of that comic as a kid. It was jammed into the back of a TMNT comic. It had Tails and a few other anthropomorphic characters in it, but it was fairly Disneyesque, talking in puns and flipping out over getting chili dogs and such, typical kids comic shit. I still can't connect the dots. |

I do, particularly in unreal engine games. I still see it often enough in open world games too, though it's gotten WAY better than it used to be.
not that it really maters. They are using poor logic and you don't have to be a coder or even all that proficient to detect it. Unlimited it literally impossible, everything a computer does uses a unit of measure from it's limited resources. You can create the illusion and games largely rely on that illusion, but nothing a computer can do will ever be 'unlimited'.
Might as well be selling Kirby vacuums. |

Hmm. For about 3 years, shortly after discovering torrents, I had every episode ever. I would watch any time I had time to kill and within a few months had seen all the episodes. Then I started putting them on as I fell asleep almost every night, sometimes watching intently, sometimes zonking out quickly. I started to subconsciously predict the joke beats, remember all the gags and skits. After I moved from Korea to Thailand two years ago, I downloaded it all again on the new hard drive I put in my computer (my old drive had so much pirated stuff I'd never take it through customs) and intended to continue the tradition...but it died. Even now, I try to watch a whole episode and I only do about 20 minutes before I get distracted by something else. It's not that I don't like it, it still stacks up as my favorite show of all time, I just...kinda had enough and any more feels like bloat. I feel a bit the same about Rifftrax and likely would about Cinematic Titanic if they put out more that one movie a year.
Except I will still watch this, the other MST3K Christmas movie and the Rifftrax Star Wars Holiday Special one a year. With my dad when I can. I get to show him the Star Wars one this year, I'm really looking forward to that. |
