One thing that all twilight zone remakes and movies and spin offs and all get wrong is this: in the original, Rod would always give an intro narration after a cold open. oftentimes, he was just chilling on the set, having a smoke, leaning against a fireplace or tree, and the camera would just swing over to him and he would address the audience directly. This gave me the opinion that Rod Sterling was some sort of super being pulling the string of every story, some sort of G-man character more important than anything, yet just used as a background device.
