O bama went through all the trouble of murdering his gay lovers, and for what?
Still, at least Newsweek says he's on the gay's side. He might love torturing terror suspects, he may be launching military strikes against oil rich nations with neither congressional approval nor scrutiny from the mass media, and there's the small matter of his not only failing to reverse Bush's attacks on civil liberties in the name of "security", but actually pushing the attack further (please take our guns away! I'm scared and The Children aren't Safe!). He's failed to help the economy, he's done nothing to end the culture of corporate entitlement, and his goons handcuffed the Green Party candidate to a chair just cuz she had the temerity to ask for a spot in the Presidential Debates. But HEY! Once it became official that he'd never again have to run for public office, he made a couple lukewarm statements in favor of Gay Marriage! (an issue which, for the last decade or so, he's been even MORE conservative on than the vast majority of his own party, let alone his primary supporters)
So, yay Obama? |

I've never really watched the show, but I like watching people who have. I can never tell if they're high-functioning furries, or low-functioning anime fans, but either way they're delightful.
I tried watching the first episode a few times now, solely because of poeTV, but I never make it more than five minutes and, unlike Cena, it doesn't pull me back in. I guess I can see how people would enjoy it, but until they give Derpy her own spinoff, I'll stick to just being a fan of the pony fandom. |

Hang on, you mean to tell me that Equestria is some kind of racially-stratified theocratic monarchy? Ruled by a tiny cabal of quasi-divine, sorcerous Ubermensch ponies? And the cart pulling ponytariat don't even have enough class consciousness to recognize how badly they're being exploited, forced to pull singing pink "social morale officers", as they make their rounds, pacifying the masses?!
That's horrible! I hope in the next season Princess Twilight Sparkle develops a sense of social justice and starts working towards much needed reforms. |

I blame literature. Our schools routinely push kids into reading authors like Ernest Hemingway, Hunter S Thompson, and Virginia Woolf, anti-social types who glamourize suicide. Why, just the other day, my daughter came home from school with some smut called "Hamlet", which features at least THREE prominent examples of suicide! Not to mention all the incest and communing with spirits!
