In Bilbo's defense, non-Koreans would have no clue about any of that stuff unless they read the song's Wikipedia page (which, incidentally, is currently longer than the articles on most third world nations). Since the majority of Gangnam views are coming from people with no prior experience in the high octane world of KPop, I submit that he's probably right on that point, and that most people are watching it because, well, it's just a fat dude doing a horsey dance.

Have you guys ever read the book, "The O'Reilly Factor For Kids"? That's a real thing. I'm totally not making it up. Look it up on if you don't believe me.
Anyway, I've read it before. It's got this one chapter on Popular Music. Basically, ol' Bill starts off by telling his readership that he's all hip and cool and totally "gets" the stuff that young people are groovin with these days. I like how he makes the perfectly reasonable observation that there's a difference between inactive "pedophiles" and active "abusers", then draws special emphasis to the "law-abiding" behavior of non-abusing pedophiles to explain that difference, and finally a couple minutes later wraps his point up by suggesting those laws be thrown out. Why, then there'd be no problems! Child molesters would no longer be breaking the law!
I've seen this sort of putrid logic time and time again with pro-pedo internet activists. They like to frame the issue as if THE ONLY problem with their behavior is that it's currently "against the law", and we all need to be "law abiding" for it's own sake (even if those laws are unjust, presumably). The problem is not, you know, the fact that they're SCREWING KIDS, and that screwing kids is inherently wrong.
I like to think that I've got a fairly tolerant attitude towards kid touchers. I'm fine with them reading their lolicon and watching their Honey Boo Boos, as long as they realize that child molestation IS molestation and it's all strictly look but don't touch. I've got much the same attitude towards, say, rape fetishists, or furries, or even cannibal cops. Hell, I'd even be willing to support a slight loosening of "age of consent laws", but only so far as to drop regional "18"s down to the globally paletable (and historically/biologically defensible) 14-16. (pre-fagdance disclaimer: I don't advocate bonking jailbait. I just don't think it's necessarily a good thing to treat 17yo screwers the same way we treat 10yo screwers) And I don't think I'd be alone in any of this.
But then you get guys like this Die Hard villain nattering on about how he should be allowed to fuck seven year olds, and how the only, ONLY problem is the way kkkonservative society cruelly keeps kids from getting their boxes jingled, and it's straight back to the lynch mob for me.
