Selling Your Soul: What Does It Really Mean?

You should do a rap cover of a Megadeth song!

My own personal Big Four was Megadeth, Metallica, GWAR, and White Zombie. In retrospect, Megadeth was probably my favorite, musically speaking. The thing about 'deth was, they had all theeir bases covered. Dave Mustaine was a great guitarist in own right; more than a match for most *lead* guitarists, including Kirk Hammet. Their lead guitar position was filled by a string of absolutely brilliant musicians, particularly Marty Friedman, who is one of my favorite guitarists of all time (Red Dye #2 notwithstanding). Their lyrics were awesome, at once cool and meaningful, and the artwork was (in my opinion) better even than Iron Maiden's, a close third behind GWAR and Mr Zombie. On top of that, 'deth was a hella lot more interesting behind-the-scenes than most other comparable metal bands. A jazzfag, a weeaboo, prog-rockers, bouncers; Dave himself is a pitbull-loving, karate-chopping, born-again libertarian who loves conspiracy theories and hangs out with Alex Jones. He's a crazy fucker, that's true, but hell if he's not a fascinating character! Compare and contrast to, say, James Hetfield. Who is rich. And likes beer.

Rust in Peace was a great album. My favorite was probably Countdown, but really, there are no bad Megadeth albums, which is something you can't say for many bands, especially not bands who've been in the spotlight for that long!

I will concede that MoP was a great album, possibly the single best metal album ever made. But most of the good stuff on it could be attributed to Cliff Burton, and at any rate it's not THAT much better than your average Megadeth album.

Picking a Digimon? (non-loving waifus, explained here)

HighRollerHydra
Trixie's Husband

A while back, I mentioned how in my dream world, there's a multiverse where each waifu I have exists in each series (like Trixie for My Little Pony, Ruto for The Legend of Zelda, etc), but sometimes a series makes it hard to love when humans are limited...

...okay, that didn't come out right. Let me explain better...

In certain worlds, my waifu, or rather, my partner who would fight alongside me or be my closest friend, wouldn't really be the romance type. For example: in the How to Train Your Dragon world, I chose the Timberjack, a dragon with a gigantic wingspan that can slice through trees, but can't scratch the itch on its back. As a result, once I helped (and nicknamed him Razorwood), he became my best friend like all the dragons and vikings have.

Now I'm wondering who my Digimon partner would be, one who would help me protect the Digital World. I thought about having LadyDevimon here:

Beautiful, isn't she? A lot of you are wondering why I keep picking dangerous people to be my romantic or best friends. Well, if I can purify Trixie's heart, and be the sweetheart of Mandy (from Totally Spies), then surely this formerly-evil Digimon can help me keep the light. But now I'm beginning to have second thoughts, since in most media she's ruthless and pure evil...should I keep her, or find a different Digimon partner?

(PS: sorry if all this sounds weird...I'm just wondering if it's still possible to shine the light in the hearts of those with a dark appearance)

Megadeth is literally a million times better than Metallica. Discuss.

"A bunch"? Precisely how many constitute "a bunch"? Dragon Age II wound up selling almost 3 million units, so unless the number of gamers getting butthurt over gay romances is something in the area of one million or more, then I fail to see how those sentiments "reflect the culture". Anecdotally, the only reactions I saw in regards to Dragon Age's queer romance options (which are present in both I and II, as well as three Mass Effects) were positive.

Now, I do agree with you that the argument, that such-and-such a feature should not be implemented on the grounds it might break "player immersion", is patently ridiculous. You and I are on the same page there! To the best of my knowledge, however, this argument has never been used (at least not in recent memory) *by publishers* to block a feature that would be considered progressive-friendly (such as gay romance). This exact argument *has* been invoked, on occasion, by publishers themselves in order to justify denying gameplay options in certain titles - most notably, EA's long-standing decision to deny The Sims players the option to participate in religious or spiritual traditions, CA's decision to crack down on the Total War modding community, and various minor instances of sex-censorship (mostly in regards to explicit female nudity). It's worth noting, of course, that all of these real-world examples of the immersion-by-censorship argument are completely in keeping with the principles of leftwing political-correctness. If anything, the evidence would indicate that the gaming industry (and therefor gaming culture, assuming your theory is correct) is very much in line with the interests of Social Justice Warfare.

One final question to you, Mister the Hippo: when was the last time you played a game where you had to save a princess in a castle?

That one is actually the Dog Paws (I remember you said you'd like to sign your name with dog paws, if you could!)

Do you mind if I ask, what Operating System and Font you are using? Unicode Emoji is fairly new, so there could be a conflict with one or both. It's most likely something you can fix in a couple minutes or less.

According to the Power Rangers Wiki, Blue's departure from the show was a variation on going back to his home planet (it was actually the home planet of his girlfriend). However, it's worth noting two things. First, the Blue Ranger position wasn't actually retired; after the original Blue left, they passed the color on to a new Blue Ranger. All in all, there seems to have been something like a dozen different Blue Rangers over the entire franchise. Second, the original Blue, Billy Cranston (who was apparently named after Bryan Cranston) was actually the longest serving member of the original team, and second longest serving actor in the entire franchise (spinoff actors included). By the time Billy Cranston left, all the other original Rangers had been long since written off the show and replaced with new characters.

And yes, according to DuckDuckGo, the actor had some major behind the scenes beef with everyone over his gayness. I don't believe this was why he left, but it is why he refuses to appear at any reunions.

Chief Keef Takes the Suburbs

It's funny, I was just watching a bunch of Professor Griff's Illuminati videos, and he mentions this Chief Keef fellow in passing. In his opinion, Mr Keef is actually one of the *best* things to happen for rich white people; the latest in a long line of NWO stooges whose juvenile antics can be sold to America's poor youth, in order to keep them stupid and more easily oppressed.

I said he wasn't he first. But he was one of the first, and hands down the most influential, to contextualize gross-out humor in that way (visually, through the use of sudden, spastic, even disturbing shifts in art style and character expression). Gross-out humor is as old as comedy itself, but animated gross-out humor, drawn in a style reminiscent of Ren & Stimpy, that was pioneered by Ren & Stimpy.
Mike Tyson is a bit aggitated on a Canadian news show
09/11/14, 14:09

I think a big thing was the nature of the justice system, or at least the public's perception of it. Mike was imprisoned, he did his time and got punished for what he did. But OJ? OJ dodged the headsman. The plebs want to see blood! They were denied a taste of OJ's sweet black juice, so they got angry. I'm willing to bet that if Zimmerman had gone to jail over the Trayvon shooting, he'd be getting his own TV show now, too.

Something else that may have effected things was the pre-crime popularity of Mike Tyson. Everyone knew and loved Mike Tyson, whether you watched boxing or not; he was a household name. OJ was just the guy from Lethal Weapon. And don't forget, either, that the Tyson trial was far more low-budget than OJ's. There were no celebrity guest stars, no tie-ins with other popular shows, hell, Tyson didn't even last a full season before the jury up and cancelled it. It's really no surprise that the audience for the Tyson Trial didn't get as emotionally invested in the brand as audiences did for OJ: TOS!
