These people suck. I've had friends that have been kicked out of their families here in Mississippi for being transgender or gay or even having a drug problem and homelessness blows. I was able to ride the purse strings of my upper middle class family but since we lost it all in Katrina, the possibility of homelessness is just one lost job away for all of us now. It sucks to be in poverty and it is honestly something you can't really have proper perspective on until you've been there for real. Pre-2005 kingarthur had some privilege-based attitude problems. Two suicide attempts later and having to move back home with your parents, both of whom have had to go back to poverty level wages in their senior years with no retirement possible, well that shit will fucking humble your privilege right the fuck quick. And we're still doing ninety percent better than most other people in our neighborhood. I have cable and food and Internet and health insurance. Most here don't. |

The Grove is largely not accessible by the handicapped and to sit down anywhere you pretty much have to be able to have your weight supported by those fabric folding chairs on game days. Of course, I graduated 10 years ago and fuck that place. |

If you search his name in google, interesting things come up. If you search his name with the words "student loans" after it, even more interesting things show up. His facebook page has not been updated since 09, so it may be possible he's actually in jail now, thankfully.
This guy was my room mate at ole miss for a time and actually pulled a gun on me on more than one occasion. He even went so far as to have himself and two other guys jump me and try to extort money from my grandmother by holding me hostage. He's also a con artist. He scared me bad enough I never went to the cops, which I regret, because I've heard he's done similar things to other naive freshman over the years. |
