John McCain and Sarah Palin are The Original Mavericks!
09/08/08, 12:08

These last eight years of Republican leadership have been embarrassing, but not corrupt. We've expanded government's role instead of reducing it, increased spending, and refused to close the border or repeal affirmative action when we had the chance. When I say embarrassing, I mean it.

HOWEVER, I started taking Bush's side after I started reading about the international efforts with Iraq, and how the entire world agreed with the multinational intelligence reports (many of which are still considered legitimate) and David Kay's reports about how Saddam was way more dangerous than we ever imagined. Also, after realizing that Ted Kennedy wrote "No Child Left Behind," and how our unemployment rates are better now than through half of the "booming" 90's, I understand that Bush's low approval rating has more to do with constant media harassment and denial of detail, instead of actual ineptitude.

Republicans have nothing to be ashamed of.

Hilarious!

Unfortunately, Obama has never taken a stand for anything (with 130 votes of "present" during his terms in the Senate), and rose to prominence in one of the most corrupt areas of US politicking while choosing an VP from the established party he hopes to change, even though his voting record denies any sort of intellectual divergence from party lines. And you're assuming something that's completely incorrect: that fighting corrupt Republicans makes you less of a Republican.

The Pledge of Allegiance

I didn't pledge allegiance to the flag when I was a kid either, for the same reason.

Biden on the RNC

Good thing you have someone like Obama then! I mean, if you can't follow issues, you have to rely on style.
The Pledge of Allegiance

Yeah, science forbid we teach any sort of value system based on loyalty to an organization we all depend on for our protection. They might start thinking about someone other than themselves! And then they won't be consumer whores!
McCain's Acceptance Speech

You guys mean "in bad taste" as in the media's constant reminding that Obama's multiracial? Quite frankly, I find war-hero status to be more impressive than a done-nothing mook.
The Pledge of Allegiance
09/06/08, 10:12

Oh, wow, you guys got us Christians! As a rebuttal, here's an excerpt from the Constitution of the State of Massachusetts, 1780:

Chapter VI, Article I
"All persons elected to state office or to the legislature must make and subscribe the following declaration, viz. 'I, ______, do declare, that I believe the Christian religion, and have firm persuasion of its truth."

Most, if not all, of our original state constitutions, contained statements like this, and this pledge of allegiance is a poor attempt at getting Americans to secularize. It just shows how ignorant and brainwashed you kids are.
Biden on the RNC

I guess he forgot about McCain's plan to help people who've lost their jobs to overseas competition by giving them financial aid, and I guess he forgot about how McCain also mentioned that education was the number one civil rights issue facing Americans this century.

Did this guy even WATCH the speech? I mean, John really broke from party lines with those statements, and apparently it's not good enough for Biden's hobgobbery.
McCain's Acceptance Speech
09/05/08, 22:04

If there's one thing McCain has on Obama (other than non-socialist policy), it's the fact that he's a true American hero. I never really though too incredibly much about his war record, but when he explained it in this speech, I realized it actually meant something. It absolutely made up for his lack of charisma.

God bless John McCain.

This deserves a six-star rating for the face James makes after he says "And then I cried even MORE."
Amy Goodman discusses her own arrest.
09/03/08, 11:49

Stop giving her the benefit of the doubt because she's a "experienced journalist." She jumped the line to get arrested and then omitted and manipulated the evidence to garner support. She's a conwoman.

People on the left and right can be full of shit, which is why smart people ask all the questions without assuming totalitarianism. If this lady was in charge, we'd have WAY more of a controlled police state, guaranteed.
