To me the show was always like an Onion article: funny premise by tapping into some shared social consciousness, dragged down to mediocrity by a belabored execution, aka the astoundingly unfunny Jerry Seinfeld and Michael Richards.
There's a reason Jerry cemented the archetype of everything wrong with stand up comedy. |

I've never understood how any spin move could connect like that (the guy didn't even react) when it telegraphs itself so far in advance. Unless one opponent was so beat up he couldn't react in time, which isn't the case here. |

I could only make it 90 seconds in before the blond's stupidity overwhelmed me.
- "There's no 'd' in "soldiers."
- "Do they even sell hardcore dictionaries anymore?" (she meant hardcover???)
The worst volunteer job I ever did was cameraman for my college's news show, which was a bunch of young republican student types about as intelligent as this. Imagine sitting through a solid half hour of this. You can't just zone it out but have to pay careful attention so you don't miss cues. |
