This is definitely one of the best episodes ever done. Bixby does an amazing job playing a split personality psycho. Watch the full episode if you ever get the chance.
This clip doesn't compare with the bar scene later on, though,where he laughs out the classic "don't make me angry" line. |

The middle seasons were really good (when the borg, 8472, etc. came into the picture and Janeway's hair style stabilized), but these beginning and final seasons are kinda like CSI: Miami....we just watch them for self inflicted pain. Good for all the wrong reasons.

No matter how FUTURISTIC Star Trek claims to be, they always seem to reflect the era in which they were filmed.
Like that episode of Voyager where they go to LA in the 90s and everything is really bright, everyone is on rollerblades, and Janeway attempts to type on a KEYBOARD connected to a PERSONAL COMPUTER
OR like every early episode of Next Generation with terribly angular or poofy hair. |

This series was just like all other Star Trek series. There's the good eps and the bad ones.
Also, I've always been kinda confused by Chakotay... the writers made him like a mix of Native American, Aztec, and Mexican...basically he was the dumping ground for any vaguely tribal ethnicities. |

Just goes to show ya that Tom Baker was the best part of this movie. He was even nominated for two golden globes for his performance in this film. |

Yah. I hate this controversy.
Tom Baker + any sort of script = amazing.
People forget that one of the lesser seasons of Tom Baker actually kick butt when compared to some of the seasons done with the later Doctors. Plus, he WAS at the top of his game (popularity-wise and ratings-wise) during this season.

I just looked this guy up on wikipedia the other day. He's done so many random things: for instance, he wrote a morbid children's book called The Boy Who Kicked Pigs which is about a boy who starts kicking pigs and moves up from there to a murderous future (e.g. poisoning his sister, etc.). Anyway, what I'm trying to say is this guy's AWESOME!!! |

That trashcan scene looked like it hurt. I mean, that was really Tom Baker and that guy was really pushing him around HARD. Baker was probably too busy thinking about when he was going to get to the pub though, bless him. :) |

Just for those of you who didn't figure it out, that narrator in the beginning is indeed the one and only, ever wasted, Tom Baker (he apparently narrates this entire show). |
