time lapsed video of a gecko eaten by ants
I, for one, welcome our new ant overlords.
Clerks - The Lost Scene
Ahh, how I so miss the days when Kevin Smith was funny.
Korean baseball fight
I'm going to love showing my girlfriend, who happens to be from Korea, this little clip.
A State of Mind - North Korea Mass Games Documentary
Actually, I lied people. Apparently they only uploaded two of the ten promised parts. :( :(
Great film though.
Silent Hill Cosplay
So Caminante, did you also notice the Mink cosplayer in the room because I most certainly did ifyaknowhaddaimean.
Tia Tanaka Pretends To Play 360
I'm surprised Caminante didn't have his say with this one.
I laughed at the sight of a Japanese stereotype being introduced with a stereotypical Chinese gong.
Also: insert shot.
Michigan Stage 1 Ending
This game was directed by Suda 51, who also brought us Killer7 and No More Heroes. I think that sums everything nicely.
McGuirk's Ode to the New York Times
Pure poetry indeed.
Speed Racer X opening
To be fair, the Yasuomi Umetesu-esque character designs are pretty sweet.
Japanese Melrose place
My uncontrolled love of Japanese women taking off their shirts earns this one extra star than it would otherwise.
The Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot
Between this, Cyber Six and Escaflowne, it was something of a beautiful time to be watching Fox Kids.
Then they all got canceled within four episodes in favor of Digimon and Nascar Racers.
That was the time I learned to truly hate.
Russian horror movie
Alas, his father's fame got to the head of Gamera's and he just didn't know how to take it.
So...who's going to say it first?
It was called a VCR, good sir.
All I remember is that I had to slog through this crap on the local TV station (Shoutout to KTTY Channel 69 before selling out to the WB) to get to watch Sailor Moon or Dragonball or Ronin Warriors. It was one of those three.
Tiny Toons: The Potty Years
This show wasn't as funny as I remember it, but it laid the foundation for Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain, so +1 star for that and an additional one for nostalgia.
Tiny Toons: The Potty Years
Seriously. John K says some smart things sometimes but honestly 90% of his cartoons are complete and utter shit.
The Ripping Friends is pretty much unforgivable.
The dupe of this made me go buy the bootleg DVD set of this show.
It's actually not that bad as far as 80s kids TV goes. It's kinda like a deadly serious mix of Power Rangers and Robotech. I especially like the episode with the insane military commander who was a Nam vet.
Scratching a tape.
A guy at work I know won a film festival in Detroit by standing in front of a black background, putting on different outfits and putting together some monologue about nothing, then copying the DV tape to a VHS tape, scratching the fuck out of and then just fucking around with it in a VCR. He won $5000 for a $5 tape.
It was impressive, but damn, my face was green like a crisp leaf of lettuce.
Saber Rider Intro
I like that she looks like a slightly curvier Leiji Matsumoto character and everyone else looks they stepped off of Voltron.
Rule 34 in any case. But still, -1 star for not being Bravestarr.
Hennako-Chan #1 - An Irritating Foreigner
Works for me.
