The Glomp Game @ Pioneer Courthouse Square 9.5.10
10/15/10, 08:23 You know Stanley, I suspect those "People Who Liked This Video Also Liked" are just randomly generated. Kind of like the crosswalk button that doesn't do anything, but helps you pass the time. |

Trip to center of hybrid fractal
10/15/10, 08:19 Looks like Mandelbulb 3D to me. |

Adult Swim's 'Saved by the Bell' bumpers
10/15/10, 08:11 That's now how I remember 'Saved by the Bell'. |

8-bit Starcraft
10/14/10, 04:28 There are times when you think, "Hey I remember that!" and decide it would be nice to go back in time and relive a little of your past. So you get an emulator and play with some 15 to 20 year old computing technology and a realization comes over you: there was a time when people would be expected to pay $20 or $30 to play a game like this. After that you become shockingly grateful you live in the times you do. |

Future Shock (1972)
10/13/10, 18:22 In the future, all music will come from Moog synthesizers (bet Robert Moog would have loved that).
I read this book 10 years ago. Toffler said we'd all be living in pre-furnished apartments, wear disposible paper clothing and work temporary jobs so that we could just show up at a different town any time we liked and go on with our lives like it was normal. Didn't really work out that way did it? |

UFOs
10/13/10, 17:34 Is this more peyote, psilocybin or LSD? Having never tried it I have no idea. I was expecting Moog synth music. Kind of surprised it was in color, this was made in the punch card era. |

Automatic Lego Transmission using a Fly-Wheel (Ugly Prototype 3)
10/13/10, 09:45 No idea really. I mostly know engines since that's what seems to need the most maintenance. |

Banksy directs a Simpsons opener
10/11/10, 20:45 You can legally watch it here: http://www.kgw.com/lifestyle/entertainment/Graffiti-artist-Banksy-creates-grim-Simpsons-opening-104741519.html
Interestingly, some Banksy graffiti ended up in Portland, Oregon little while back. Matt Groening grew up in Portland, Oregon and named a lot of The Simpsons characters after things like Portland streets (for example, Flanders). Coincidence? |

Japanese Snack Aisle
10/11/10, 20:18 I'm a little disappointed he didn't do the more disgust-... er... gourmet snacks like whole, dried, baby sardines; whole, dried, baby crabs or deep fried quail eggs but at least he got the dried squid. |

Twin Peaks: Lessons on Talking backward from the Man from Another Place
10/10/10, 06:54 You know... I agree. Nice to see he can talk normally too. This clip reminds me of how much I miss Twin Peaks. |

Night on the Galactic Railroad
10/10/10, 06:51 Geeze the first 3 minutes of this video are credits.
This movie is based on one of the great classics of Japanese literature, except in the book they're people instead cats. "Night on the Galactic Railroad" is kind of like oh... "Wizard of Oz" I guess. It's a sad story filled with surreal beauty; like when you wake up from a beautiful dream and realize it's gone. While you feel happy because of the beauty you feel sad because it's over. |

Revolutionary Girl Utena - Nanami Is a Cow
10/10/10, 06:39 No, the REEEEEAL reason Nanami is a cow is because, like all "Revolutionary Girl: Utena" episodes, none of this actually happened. Anthy, the girl with the glasses, is the victim of sexual abuse at home and bullying at school, especially by Nanami. She's fantasizing revenge by imagining Nanami is stupid enough to turn herself into a cow and too vain to take the cowbell off and turn herself back. |

Halo: Reach is AWESOME
10/10/10, 06:22 Geeze, we were never like that when Donkey Kong came out. Space Invaders on the other hand... and maybe Asteroids... or Mortal Kombat.... ohnevermind |

HEY CYCLOPS!
10/10/10, 06:16 Sounds like something Wolverine would say. |

Ren and Stimpy - World Crisis with Mr. Horse
10/10/10, 06:03 I'm astonished this hasn't been pulled yet. |

Adventure Time: BILLY!
10/06/10, 03:29 Lich king? Don't they have one of those in World of Warcraft? |

Hiking in an active volcano
10/04/10, 18:30 I once got in a debate with a guy who said you could use volcanoes to heat iron for blacksmith work. Too bad I didn't have this video around back then. |

The 'Stars' of 4Kids Sing the National Anthem
10/04/10, 03:06 I never realized that Splinter, a mutant rat, ninja master, who lived most of his life in Japan, had such an operatic, singing voice. |

Stop the hate, Neopets!
10/04/10, 03:01 You's trollin'! Also, gay men have a term for girls who are a little too interested in them, "fag hag". |
