Kind of reminds me of Banned Book Week. You think you're doing something really subversive by reading a banned book then you find out that:
A. the book was "banned" because a parent sent a note to the teacher saying, "I don't want my child reading Rainy Day Railroad!" and the teacher writes back, "We're reading Milky Way Railroad" and the parent responds with, "That's OK then."
B. one copy was taken off the shelf of the library in Butte county Idaho's only grade school, but it was still available everywhere else in the world. |
