Obviously any fan of any show will say this about any scene but, as brilliantly conceived and executed as this scene is, SO much of the tension in this sequence derives from how beautifully they build up to it. Hank has been dealing with his own on-the-job fear and anxiety--rational? irrational?--for a full season and a half now. This moment--which arrives only after he's finally been debadged and disarmed--is the ultimate realization of what he's been dreading all this time.
We've seen how this moment came to pass but for Hank, in that car, it feels like a nightmare come to life...and we experience that through him. The tension is not just in the sequence itself...so if you haven't been watching the series and go "meh" when you see this then actually WATCH the show or STFU. |

Yes. I'm gay and listen to all kinds of literally gay music written and performed by actually gay artists but this song is too gay even for my very gay ears.
Seems like they try to address the creepy-queer aspect of the vocals by having the singer come out as some unnerving Mr. Burns specter. Still, doesn't make me want to ever hear the song again. |
