Well, now I've seen and heard Patrick Stewart's "O" face.

Again.

QuartuvLarry is offically a Tea-bagger
04/20/09, 19:08

Remember the time when the Cylons enacted a 3% tax increase on the top 1% of wealthiest New Capricans, and so Colonel Tigh led a resistance of brave teabaggers in a march?
No?

If they get to own the phrase "Viva la Revolucion", can we get their phrase, "This is America! Speak English!".

They must be busting out the sweaters and scarves in hell.
Chris Redfield Punches a Boulder
04/20/09, 18:34

You know, given all the other parts of the game and story that made no sense, this didn't even stand out as being that odd.
John Boehner on This Week

Mike Huckabee: The earth is a few thousand years old

bowling for columbine

A well made film that raises some interesting issues, but suffers for a clear of focus.

Moore's partisanship and factual errors are justly criticized, but the film doesn't really suffer as a result of either.
Glenn Beck's 'Unelectable' Stand-Up Comedy Jokes for Laughs DVD trailer

After claiming that of Mike Savage, Joe the Plumber, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Rush Limbaugh, Steve Doocy, Brown Haired Guy Who Isn't Steve Doocy, Megan Kelly, Laura Ingrim, Bill O'Reilly, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, Tom DeLay and George W Bush, I'm forced to conclude that I may be wrong, and they are actually serious.

I still Tito the Builder is just messing with people though.

Border Patrol Gets Flummoxed
04/19/09, 02:07

Not surprising. Sane people would realize that the best course of action for them is complying. But even if I disagree almost everything he says, I'll defend to the death his right to say it.

...okay, preferably not my death, but that's because I'm one of the sane ones.
Border Patrol Gets Flummoxed
04/19/09, 01:46

I believe he did technically violate the law, in that they asked him to provide identification when at a border stop within 75 miles of the border, and he did not comply.

Of course, several of the agents' statements and actions prior to that violated the law, and overall he did a good job of asserting his rights, which is always risky and hard to do.
Gresham Barrett booed at tea party rally
04/18/09, 23:14

I actually feel for this guy. Whether by order of the GOP, or voting his own conscience, he did what every single member of the Republican party (except Ron Paul) knew was necessary. He voted to take action to prevent a banking collapse that would have been devastating for the US economy. The GOP were giving subsidies, tax breaks, and deregulating these banks like crazy. There's never been a corporate subsidy they didn't like. But when it actually became necessary, they strategically maneuvered to only provide the minimal number of votes, so as to tag the Democrats with it.

Gresham Barrett voted exactly how every other member of the GOP (save two or three actual libertarians) would have voted, and how all those people at the rally would have voted had they been informed and in a position of power. Now he has to apologize for taking action to save the economy, and voting honestly. And good on him for having the balls to get in front of the hostile crowd, even if I wish he would defend himself rather than backtrack.
The Day Science Took Over
04/18/09, 22:56

Keep in mind, the old "Reefer Madness" and "Red Storm Rising" movies seems funny now. But the people behind this ad saw those films, and believed them. They sincerely believe that anyone who threatens "the American way of life" (as defined by those people at that point in time) also threatens their lives and freedom.

In short, its just like the "teabag parties". No one is crueler when in power, and therefore no one is more afraid of someone else having the stick.

Glenn Beck at the Alamo Tea Party

I will gladly cede this and all future arguments with you, and donate $1,000 to the Palin campaign fund, if you could stand one day of these "sissy interrogation techniques" without breaking down crying like a little girl.

"Tactics included using a plastic neck collar to slam detainees into walls, keeping the detainee's cell cold for long periods, and beating and kicking the detainee. Sleep-deprivation, prolonged shackling, and threats to a detainee's family were also used."

Is there no cognitive dissonance in whining about Obama's executive powers, while defending Bush administration memos that 'literally' state that the President is not bound by the Constitution or any other checks and balances whenever he so decides its in the national interest? And in saying they were "productive" can you point to even a single piece of evidence supporting that?
Pensacola Tea Party 4-15-09

I'm not sure there's a distinction between "guy who posts on website" and "some guy".
