A Satanic High Priest Gets Saved
05/26/11, 16:13 Yes, I am. And I just cast a spell on you. Boogity boo!
Sorry, was that mean? I'm just suspicious because the other day I heard that, despite having books, and websites, and publicly preaching and following lifestyles based on worship of Jesus Christ, Evangelicals actually obey the almighty Thor and have the power to cast lightning bolts at people. The truth is kept hidden by a secret Evangelical cabal, and is known only thanks to the testimony of a few ex-Evangelical Satanists. I was skeptical at the time, but now I'm not so sure. Just remember, denying this only proves you are a secret follower of the Son-of-Odin!

A Satanic High Priest Gets Saved
05/26/11, 15:56 Oh sweet, your comment history suggests you're serious. Fun!
It takes only a minute to read any encyclopedia article (no, not conservapedia) on The Satanitc Verses. Why don't you check that out, and then see it it conforms to this guy's story. If you're still skeptical, the actual book is available free online.

A Satanic High Priest Gets Saved
05/26/11, 15:42 It's amazing how every single 'ex-atheist', 'ex-satanist', and 'ex-possessed by demons' Christian describes their experiences completely in terms of what fundamentalist born-again Christians incorrectly think those things involve.
I've never heard, "Oh, I was a Wiccan, but I realized that the "spells" were simply naturalist rituals never intended to invoke actual supernatural forces, so I turned to Christianity."
It's always "I became a witch, had sex with Satan, turned my friend into a newt, and then got better."

REASONS WHY ENGLISH ADAPTATION IS NOT ON THE AIR IN ENGLISH SPEAKING NATION
05/26/11, 15:24 A girl in my high school class gave a thoroughly detailed presentation for her final research project on why the English dub of Sailor Moon was awful and should never aired here again. It involved terrible translations and rewriting characters and storylines to make no sense. Her biggest objection was that two lesbian characters were made cousins. This girl, by the way, was a genius and class valedictorian.
Its really sad that this presentation constitutes a significant percentage of what I remember being taught in high school. Certainly not much calculus survived.

Scarlett Johansson for Klanned Parenthood
05/26/11, 15:14 I can see this tactic catching on in the campaign season.
For example: Show a speech by Bill Clinton on the importance of reducing carbon emissions, but photoshop his head into a Nazi rally background and put a Hitler mustache on him. After all, chances are some of the people who voted for Clinton were Nazi supporters. Therefore, you either want to deregulate coal mining, or support Genocide.

Gates of Hell (trailer)
05/26/11, 10:32 I'd defend it's right to exist in court, but the purpose of this film is pretty clearly an incitement to violence.

Gates of Hell (trailer)
05/26/11, 09:03 "Simply put: Abortionists, I'm going to convince crazy people to kill you then deny responsibility."
You know, the women who chose to have abortions are, at minimum, as culpable as the doctors. Maybe they should have a sequel where they go around murdering all those young women? Make it an inter-faith sequel by teaming up with the Taliban.

...yeah, that could work.

The best possible random letter selection on a game show
05/25/11, 12:34 Cuntflaps seems fake. What kind of idiot would pick so few vowels? Then again it's hard to imagine the producers of "Countdown" picking that word out of all humorous words to air.

Yamilee and Austin on coming out of the God closet
05/25/11, 12:03 I may be offended the content of the message of some religious fundamentalists, but I'm NOT offended by people vigorously defending their beliefs and trying to persuade others, as long as its not forcibly imposed, or a public nuisance. Maybe I'm ignorant, but I can't think of any major atheists who do that. Show me Dawkins shouting on a streetcorner, or Harris demanding that city council meetings begin with an affirmation that there is no god, and then I'll agree with you.
I definitely don't consider explaining a viewpoint in debates, books, and podcasts to be over the line, as no-one is forced to listen or agree. If you think they are rude or wrong I'd understand, but I don't at all believe that they have any more duty to keep quiet or defer than any religion does.

Yamilee and Austin on coming out of the God closet
05/25/11, 11:47 You think when atheists offer a message of support to young adults who might feel isolated or are bullied, that they are acting like "the worst evangelical Christians out there"? Despite nearly identical videos exists for all major faiths that even radical atheists don't find at all offensive?
If you don't believe in God but attack people who express that in even the most banal and non-confrontational ways, you aren't agnostic, just smug.

Dinosaurs and the Bible
05/25/11, 10:37 I'm pretty sure 2 hours 40 minutes of Hovind is recognized by the AMA as a cause of brain damage.

Santa causes atheism.
05/25/11, 10:24 I don't know if this is an Ireland/UK thing, but kids I knew growing up always used to pray to Santa. He was part of Christian religion. When kids admitted they didn't believe in Santa, they stopped getting presents from him, which I think just taught them not to voice doubts.
As for the video, I wasn't aware it was possible to tell if someone writing an email was crying at the time. I have some awkward explanations to send people in my contacts list.

A child's drawing of the American flag sparks controversy
05/24/11, 09:09 That was just a kind excuse to avoid humiliating the boy. I mean he's 11 years old, on the verge of middle school, and he draws a flag with no stars, no straight lines, and only four stripes? There's no need to draw attention to his paste-eating.

Trailer for 'Green With Envy'
05/23/11, 22:37 SPOILER WARNING:
It turns out Amy Adams is suffering from dementia. Which explains why she thought LA and the Mann's Chinese Theater was the most romantic place in the world. She also hallucinates strange talking combinations of mops and puppets.

The Creation Adventure Team
05/23/11, 18:41 "Science can't know what happened in the past, because no one was around to observe it."
YOUR CLAIM IS THAT MAN AND DINOSAUR COEXISTED!
Even using such flawed logic I'd trust a young child to refute it, you still contradict yourselves.

Gene Simmons: Obama 'Has No F***ing Idea What The World Is Like'
05/23/11, 15:44 I see the source of the confusion. Gene, that world you live in, the one portrayed on the reality show "Gene Simmons' Family Jewels"? That's not the real one. It's actually a good thing that world leaders don't live in it with you.
