Don't vote for my opponent! He likes killing puppies in Nazi-style gas chambers!

That made me picture a montage of beheadings set to "Push it to the Limit", while Bill Brady beats Bin Ladin in a snowboarding contest to save American hostages. And I laughed. There was some shame, but not much.
George Wood videogame trivia contest?

I'm guessing the kid is his nephew, who was provided answers and George scripted it to try and sell it as a real show. That explains why George started to dial the mom (his sister). And why the kid looks quickly offstage right before giving some of the answers.

Then again the only way to explain the ending is either that he's a creepy serial killer who kidnapped a child, or he's a performance artist engaging in some surreal ahead of his time comedy. All seem equally plausible.

1) Since shelters and putting down strays exist under all administrations and parties, this is a truly despicable ad. Don't vote Quinn.

2) Ironically, the main partisan issue involving pets before this was Republicans supporting puppy mills while Democrats tried to stop them.

3) Someone has made a political ad explicitly telling and showing voters that their opponent will kill puppy dogs, and this isn't even the worst ad this week. Political discourse has gone beyond all satire.

DETECTIVE SQUAD!
IN COLOR

Well, not actually in color, 'cause those people listen to Rock And/Or Roll, which we all know leads to Satan. Along with everything else I wasn't raised with as a child.
Highlights From The Nastiest Debate of 2010

Since he's changed his libertarian positions on Medicare, social security, defense spending, civil rights and campaign finance reform to suit the Republican base and establishment, I'm not sure there's much on there that Rand Paul would agree with.

"Dark" entertainment defined here as anything not explicitly advocating the specific brand of fundamentalist Christianity that American evangelical conservatives ascribe too.

They were planning on just fighting media manufactured by the Hollywood to brainwash kids into worshiping Satan, but encountered problems in the form of it not existing. They've had the same rallying cry for generations, and yet Satan remains as unpopular as ever.

Those damn watermelons, always stealing our women and our jobs.

RocketBlender:
Whoever told you that at your bakery was either lying or mistaken. Public Law 104-210 protects food donators from legal liability. And there are tons of government and private charity groups that pick up and redistribute surplus food.

If she was trying to get medicine without a prescription, I'd understand. But the news reports on the story indicate that the only impediment to handing it over was being short a dollar. I can't imagine a situation in which giving her a dollar would get the guy fired or the store sued.
A Heartwarming Slice of Corporate Humanity

A lot of comments are repeating the myth I frequently heard during the healthcare debate. So many conservatives told me that we already have free universal healthcare in the form of ERs. Its not free, its actually incredibly expensive. And while they do treat emergency conditions first and charge after, they don't treat all medical conditions or provide medicine. They'll write you a prescription, but usually sent you to a pharmacist for you to pay and pick it up.

And for all those comments defending how pharmacists can't give away medicine in violation of store policy, has it occurred to them he could just lend her a dollar?
Racism is not racist
10/16/10, 10:32

He goes off the rails from the very beginning of his argument: "People say that race is defined by non-visible genetic characteristic, and you can't tell for sure by physical appearances. Therefore, these people are trying to say that race doesn't exist."

Those "Let's Fight White Pride" stickers are particularly funny, as they have to be anti-racist propaganda made by racists.

Only racist use the term "white pride", because a positive one. Its like the KKK making fliers saying "Let us oppose these helpful and charming defenders of the southern tradition" and pretending its what their opponents say.
IS THIS WHITE GENOCIDE?
10/16/10, 10:11

This is nitpicking on a fundamentally stupid video, but in the picture of Heidi Klum and Seal, it seems like one of their kids was white.

Wait, never mind. For this person I'm sure looking white isn't enough, it has to be about "pure" bloodlines and ignoring the fact that we share common ancestors.

Damn, baumer. Your maturity and sensitivity to inappropriately sexualizing women in media gets me sooo hot. I love it when you
demonstrate respect for intellectual positions rather than indulging in juvenile banter. Give me more of your gentle and helpful rebukes baby.
Steven Seagal - Dance
10/15/10, 01:13

It would be only generically terrible, if not for Seagal's listless mumbling and the lyrics. Which is particularly bad for him, as those are probably his only two contributions to the song.

"I can take you on the boat,
I can take you on the train,
I can take you on the car,
I can take you on the plane."
It's like a preschoolers attempt at songwriting.

Adult Swim's 'Saved by the Bell' bumpers

This is pretty much a dupe, with the same title and tags. But it contains two clips the old one didn't, so whatever. Five stars.
Trailer Park Boys - The Jim Trick
10/14/10, 18:13

To be fair, his 'savant' powers have been shown not to work on cops that are actually intelligent.

I love this show, but this is actually the least amusing of all "Ricky and the cops" clips. It just introduces his gift, which just gets funnier from then on.
Break the Habit

You wouldn't kill millions of people through a campaign of genocide and ethnic cleansing, commercial.

So why are you killing parody?
Between Two Ferns: Bruce Willis

Unlike some other actors, Bruce wasn't that funny. But Zach still cracked me up.
HOW DID WE EVOLVE THE BLOOD CLOT ???
10/13/10, 12:10

Unless of course you start from the premise that the world was created in keeping with certain moral beliefs, and basing your reality on those beliefs rather than observed facts (which are flawed and not infallible) is the correct way to intellectual integrity.

Obviously this requires starting with certainty, which is why the defining principle of faith is removing doubt and skepticism. Its not an inconsistent view on his part, its just an ideology fundamentally at odds with scientific skepticism.
HOW DID WE EVOLVE THE BLOOD CLOT ???
10/13/10, 12:04

I believe in God. But when people starting using God as a replacement for scientific theories they don't understand, its perfectly acceptable to point out that what they are really describing is magic done by an invisible being.

If there's any word in existence that distorts people's perceptions through the weight of authority, its "God". If accurately rephrasing the argument without that authority makes it sound silly, that's a problem with the argument.
