The movie's one redeeming quality is that if got me to watch the TV show. I started two weeks ago, and plan on seeing the finale tonight. More than once it struck me that the writing was up to par with some of the best TV shows I can think of, especially the way they carefully plotted three seasons of epic fantasy to focus on character development. If you haven't seen it yet, watch it streamed from Netflix, as they give away free monthly subscriptions all over the place. |

I swear, I thought this was a theater group's home production of Avatar until the special effects started. At which point it was upgraded to "unlicensed South American DVD release" quality.
I can't think of a single aspect of cinema that this short scene doesn't completely mangle. |

Why would Muslims even think this is a good idea in the first place?
Muslim1: "Hey terrorists murdered thousands of innocents to turn our faith toward radicalism and spark holy war. What's the best way to stop them?"
Muslim2: "Ive got three words for you: Ground. Zero. Mosque. What better way to show that modern Islam is part of American values, and not an incompatible violent screed like Bin Ladin suggests."

The only actual use this thing could have, is quickly peeling hardboiled eggs. However, every time they "demonstrate" that use, they do a quick cut from the crack, to the finished product. Its the only time in the ad they do so. In other words out of its two uses, one is pointless and the other doesn't work. |

Funny, I looked at all the posts above, and the only direct word of praise was "Also, go Dawkins". Which doesn't sound much like religious worship to me.
It's almost like you presumed anyone saying something positive about Dawkins was an atheist and as such spouted your talking point, but didn't bother paying attention to what was actually said. Which sounds downright... indoctrinated |
