I'm a grownup, and it's not like it's some sort of blatant exploitation or "snuff" clip as I was kinda trying to say earlier in another thread. In this case it just is, and that sort of context is up to the viewer.

You can be irritated or offended or whatever, but "snuff" - watching someone die as a form of entertainment - may or may not be something that applies to this video. That's a contextual issue with the viewer and not necessarily the pointed goal of the clip in question. |

Calling it a "snuff movie" is probably a bit unfair (except for perhaps how our media repeats it ad nauseum). Libyans probably really needed some sort of visual proof that he was, in fact, dead. |

fatatty's got the key right there. It would have been really fantastic to see him to to the Hague to stand trial, but that was really unlikely given all the hate he'd worked up. His death - and the deaths of all such dictators - end up being a sort of exorcism for the people. "The monster is dead." |
