JLU - Epilogue
07/26/12, 11:31 I remember buying these for my son and him watching them in a marathon session while I was cleaning the basement. I'm not completely sure, but this episode was an episode or two after a "current" episode that suggested a Batman/Wonder Woman romance was brewing, so this was kind of a letdown from that heady notion.
But that doesn't mean this was a bad episode, of course. I thought it was interesting to bring Batman Beyond back. |

Tales From the Crypt (1972)
07/20/12, 02:15 Great old British anthology horror flick. It's a pity that the DVD release of Vault of Horror over here is edited, though. |

Werner Herzog Discovers John Waters is Gay
03/06/12, 20:22 Over the weekend we watched Grizzly Man. There's a scene in it where we learn via a coroner there was audio of the documentary subject and his girlfriend being attacked, killed, and eaten by a bear. One of the subject's ex-girlfriends has the video camera with the tape the audio was on. She allowed Herzog to listen to it.
They didn't play it for we, the viewers, at home. He didn't play it to her for a reaction (she admitted she'd never listened to it). Instead he told her to never listen to it and destroy it, or else it'd be a white elephant that'd haunt her for the rest of her life.
You know what? There're worse choices for God. |

Kandy Man Tribute (or The Happiness Patrol in 4 minutes)
02/16/12, 11:34 His family pranked him by dumping water and the floor for him to step in and now they're having a good laugh because he's stuck to the floor unable to reach the computer. |

Kandy Man Tribute (or The Happiness Patrol in 4 minutes)
02/16/12, 11:33 Yeah, Sarah Jane had a believability factor in some way the others didn't. |

Gyo (the Fish)
02/15/12, 21:02 Good call, but a pity if it's true as it'll rob the story of some of its bizarre tragedy power. |

Gyo (the Fish)
02/15/12, 18:08 I wonder if the main female character will have the same story arc... |

Kandy Man Tribute (or The Happiness Patrol in 4 minutes)
02/15/12, 18:06 Leela wore tiny outfits, but Leela was so against Doctor Who rules that it made the actual character interesting. Bloodthirsty, primitive, and homicidal. |

Kandy Man Tribute (or The Happiness Patrol in 4 minutes)
02/15/12, 18:04 No no, I agree on Ghost Light. |
 |
Kandy Man Tribute (or The Happiness Patrol in 4 minutes)
02/15/12, 17:30 Ghost Light was the best story of the McCoy era. That scene was a huge reason why. |

02/15/12, 15:47 deadpan: HA HA, true, I'd forgotten all about that.
memedumpster: If by "Ace" you mean "Leela" I'm in full agreement. |
