I like how he's an equal opportunity slapper. No race, age, or sex discrimination here.

Rewatching this, I really love how many attempts at jump scared the video have, and how the bored out of her skull narrator keeps them from having any impact.

That can happen from time to time, especially if you get someone in your group that REALLY needs to win to have a good time.

I've never heard of Ghost Stories, I'll have to look that one up.

On another note entirely, Betrayal at the House on the Hill is one of my favorites. It starts out with no goal at all, until enough events happen that a haunt is triggered, at which point one player becomes the traitor in one of 50 scenarios. They might become a werewolf, make voodoo dolls of the other players, open a gate to hell, or so on. The other players have some kind of goal they need to accomplish to stop the traitor's plans as the traitor does everything they can to kill them off before that happens.

It's a lot of fun, especially since you don't know who at your table is going to end up the villain, and generally speaking, is a little lighter on that quarterbacking issue.

Slightly disappointing because I read that as 'Nature VS Car Porn' in my head.

Zombicide is the closest I've seen to a good one, and I have to admit, the minis for that are pretty cool. If you want a decent co-op board game though, Pandemic is still your best bet by a long shot. That game is actually pretty fun.

When it comes to zombies, everything involving them settles for mediocrity. A lot of developers out there have figured out they can churn out a half assed game, and no one will even call you on it because bad AI that gets caught on minor obstacles and can't open a door is 'soooooooo realistic!' in a zombie game, and idiots will shovel money at you hand over fist because your shitty book/game/movie has zombies in it.

I've noticed the few good things that involve zombies (The Last of Us or The Walking Dead (in my opinion, at least what I've seen so far.) are two good examples.) actually go well out of their way to avoid using the term 'zombies' when describing their disaster.

I run a board game night at a local store, and use a webstie called boardgamegeek a lot for looking up info, getting freebies, etc. There's a section on the forums where new companies often give away a few copies of their game. You get one free entry, and then there's a little quiz of 6 questions, each one you get right gives you 2 more entries. The idea is that people will read about the game to get the most entries, and those that don't win will be interested enough to consider buying. For me, unless the game looks really interesting at first glance, I just take shots in the dark and hope for an extra entry or two if I'm still even interested enough to enter.

This one looked especially dull, but I ended up watching the whole thing just because of how bored to tears the marketer sounds with her own game, and the fact that she's clearly never read the description before. I knew I had something submittable when they began to talk about the mod-ehh-yu-lehr game board.

Okay, so maybe it's more accurate to say he's a lot like 5sf in the way that his videos are a few seconds long.

I believe he's talking about what most steakhouses call 'compound butters'. Let a stick of butter sit at room temp until it's soft, then mix it with things like minced herbs, or carmelized onions and mushrooms, roll it in wax paper, and put it back in the fridge. It'll firm right back up to it;s normal consistency, and has all kinds of flavor. Fancier a la catre steakhouses will charge anywhere from $4-10 for a slice of that stuff on your steak.

They're honestly super easy to make and don't really need their own product line, but then again, so are clarified butter and hardboiled eggs, and you see that shit on store shelves too.
