Sega still does make good games, they make Yakuza, and Valkyria Chronicles (which is full of JRPG stuff, but a damned fun game bescide it all). When they want to, they can still actually make a great product.
With sonic games, they know they don't need effort. They know damn well they can half ass any kind of crap, and there's an army of furries just waiting to buy it. Sometimes I think they makes these just to spite said furries, or the programmers are trying to kill the series so Sega lets them do something else.
I think my favorite parts here are the scenes where the player dies from going the correct way. Those speed boosters seem like a 50/50 chance of death. |

From a strictly gameplay perspective, it's not bad. Reminds me of playing Knuckles back in the passable Sonic games on the Genesis.
All the same, the moment the opening cinematic ended, I jumped up and went straight to poe to submit. You can't lie that the dialog is amazingly awful. |
