REAL AMERICANS (R) believe that for this to happen, one must let the market be completely free of governmental interference. You see, the government will undoubtedly fuck up whatever equilibrium the market achieved with their price-caps and health and safety regulations.
Also, they must despise any handicap against big corporations, because those people obviously earned all their money fair and square and should be allowed to keep it. |

Hey, I for one was enjoying this thought provoking discussion on the origins and implications of the hipster movement! Just a couple of things:
1. 20-somethings are mostly part of the Millennials and not Gen-X'ers. And frankly, I ironically place the blame for the rise of the hipster persona squarely on their shoulders (for I am a Millennial myself).
2. Walls-of-Text on poeTV will always get called-out (and rightly so). The nature of poeTV's commenting section guarantees that no discussion can last longer than a day or two, thus insuring a very low incidence of Godwin's Law and other trolling phenomenon. In addition, it hinders in-depth discussions about the videos, and any attempt to start one will be dismissed with a snarky comment. Don't worry though, past transgressions will be forgiven by the time you comment on the next video (with the possible exception here and there. See: "poorwill v. THE SUGAH RAIN" for more information on this topic).
3. Don't worry, fractured, we'll forgive you for SORT of used to like poetv because it SEEMED LIKED a pretty cool forum. But keep in mind that poeTV is neither "pretty cool" or "likable".
TL;DR: The comments in this thread actually make the video better than it really is: 3 stars. |

Yeah, but unfortunately he has taken it down. The lukemorse1 tag does still have the poeTV page where you can gleam more info from the comment section.
Basically his wife wanted him to either choose his video-game collecting or his family. I think he was not concerned with helping out around the house and just concentrated on his Glorious Nippon cabinets. He made a final video on Youtube saying goodbye to everyone that followed him and wishing them the best of luck. Then about two weeks later he made another video about how it's great to be back and calls out the "Haters".
Cause, you know, a guy ruining his marriage and family over fucking video games doesn't deserve all those mean comments on a webpage. |
