Oh man, Desert Storm was such a wacky time. My uncle's father lived in Kuwait at the time, and when people called him up over concerns about the Iraqi "invasion", he'd stand outside his house and ask "What Invasion?? I don't see any tanks!".
Soon enough, the tanks were there. But they were Abrams. He took his family to Jordan soon after. |

I grew up watching this episode, which was on an old VHS at my grandparents. It was kinda funny and we often quoted "Yum Yum Eat'm Up!", but I preferred their stash of Three Stooges shorts.
Never thought it was racist, because either I was too young to know things like that, or it just didn't seem that bad when compared to "The Jerk" which was also frequently watched at their house. |

One of my exes would go to a chiropractor, and to me it just seemed like a wacky way to get a massage so their hocus-fuckus didn't bother me.
That is, until I found out they were getting her to purchase these foot-soaking sessions that had some sort of ionic cleaning detoxification "benefits" (http://youtu.be/qj_Mcp_SNss).
I couldn't be mad at her for going to a place that made her feel good and then getting tricked into putting her feet in rusty water, but she was losing what little money she had on a parlor trick. I had to do a lot of massages-upon-request after convincing her it was a scam. |
