I don't really know what this is.
I stumbled onto it when I was searching for "Cow Transformation" and clicking through videos to see if there was anything I could put on poeTV.
It seems that this might be some channer or liverjournal shit because it's really starting to blow up now that someone got their account banned from Youtube. I don't really know, and when I viewed some of the video responses, there was a lot of My Little Ponies and I really just can't handle that (I'm not a real man apparently).

A man searches for beauty in the horror of war and its consequences.
Was a pageant necessary? It seems a bit inappropriate in this setting. I want to find a connection with people torn apart by man's atrocities, which admittedly this documentary does pretty well, but the nature of pageants is to turn women into objects to be judge, and I don't feel comfortable with that.
Although, being uncomfortable because of these women are in a pageant and not because they were injured by landmines really drives home the message Feingold and Traavik were trying to convey. So five stars for making me think. |

My friend and his wife recently came back from their honeymoon in Las Vegas. I don't know who here does touristy shit in Las Vegas, but MGM or possibly some other big production studio has one of their test screening locations there and they were able to watch one of the pre-pilot reality game show pitches.
The show they watched was a cross between American Pickers and The Amazing Race, where three teams of two people ran around town with a thousand dollars trying to buy the most valuable crap from garage sales and antique stores and the like, with the winners getting to keep everything that everyone bought.
Suffice to say, they both thought it was a stupid garbage concept that was only kept alive by the insane stereotypes that were cast as contestants. I don't remember them talking about the third couple, but one was a husband and wife straight out of a failed sitcom, while the other was a couple of dude-bro tough guys from New York. |

~I'm not really sure Golisano is saying that he pays only about 5 million on state income tax if he were to still be living in New York. It might have been that New York was going to bump his taxes up another 5 million dollars. Still though, complaining about less than a half of a percent of your wealth going to taxes? *makes wanking gesture*

Preface: Me and a buddy of mine have been watching the Rock's best matches on Netflix recently and during a tag match where Rock and Mankind were performing a "Double People's Elbow" on the Big Show, I said how wonderful that Rocky took perhaps the most vanilla move in wrestling (the elbow drop) and turned it into such a fucking spectacle. I said, that in a less-charismatic wrestler's hands, "The People's Elbow" would be the worst move in wrestling.
That's when I was informed about "The Worm". Needless to say I've been out of wrestling for a decade or so, so I didn't believe my friend until he showed me a video of it being executed. |
