Both have that kind of hopeful optimism about getting along, but Star Trek encouraged people to develop and accept advances in technology.

I dunno what MLP would get you. Some pastel-colored genetic engineering results, maybe?

Thinking flat chests are sexy is unhealthy if they're flat because they haven't gone through puberty yet. Surely your parole officer has gone over this with you.

I don't know who Furious Pete is, but this video makes YouTube think I want to watch a lot of whatever it is he does.

The local stuff still ties into the network. It was a so-called "local" story that resulted in the parent company basically suing for the right to lie when broadcasting the "news."

Showgirls 2: Penny's From Heaven

Dayum. Looking the first movie up on Wikipedia, it didn't do well at the box office but did over $100 million in video rentals, becoming one of MGM's top 20 best sellers.

I also get this movie mixed up with Demi Moore's "Striptease" for some reason.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but all administrators/politicians want is a way to fire people they don't like. Every union contract has a lot of specific things a union member can be fired for without any muss or fuss, but it requires those in charge to document it.

They're either too lazy or can't falsify the evidence they want (since they could just be pissed that a teacher isn't mentioning creationism in science class or is willing to cowtow to a principal who wants them to do non-contractural duties after school or on weekends) so they go whining to Fox News and the drones eat it up.

It looks like they had some fun with it, so good show.

They borrowed from several tons of video games and comic books I could name, but everything's derivative anyhow, so there's that.

It's so bizarre how Christian media apes and references the very pop culture it's trying so hard to insulate the viewer from.

I also found it funny how "evil" and "ungodly" programs from ten+ years ago became staples on God-Botherer local TV where I grew up. If it wasn't preachin' and singin', it was Gunsmoke and murder-mystery shows.

This is the first time I've ever seen even a fictional representation of Rolling Rock beer in a can. Even in the ads I've seen it's always been bottles. Weird.

Oddly, that seems to not be a concern in Hollywood so much as losing money is. I mean, Uwe Boll still makes movies, and M. Night is still sort of has a career.

"I totaled a car because of one."

See, without elaboration, we're left to our own imaginations as to why you crashed your car because of a hamster. Unless you clear things up, we're probably going to assume that you were experiencing a sudden bout of rectal discomfort.

Oklahoma City Pimp Jermal Turner, aka 'Stacks' murdered by a prostitute

Did "Jermal" used to be "Jamal" until it got into the hands of someone who couldn't spell or only heard it with an odd accent?
