Kinect Star Wars - 'I'm Han Solo'
04/02/12, 22:49 Jeeze. Lucasfilm is doing to Robot Chicken what the GOP is doing to the Daily Show; it's getting so that you really can't really tell what's parody and what's official. |

Kinect Star Wars - 'I'm Han Solo'
04/02/12, 21:26 George Lucas, our generation's tribute to Howard Hughes.
I can't wait for whatever wacky projects he's going going on in his basement to come to light after he dies. |
 |
Future Force - Robot Arm
04/02/12, 11:40 It's just like modern video games, actually. It's a fine representation of:
Press X to not die.
Press X to not die.
Press X to not die.
Press X to not die.
Press X to not die.
Press X to not die.
Press X to not die.
Press X to not die.
END CUTSCENE. END GAME. BEGIN HOLLOW FEELING THAT YOU BELIEVE CAN BE FILLED WITH MORE MODERN WARFARE OR TF2. |

POMFPOMFPOMF =3
04/01/12, 23:07 To be fair, after "Twilight," who doesn't want to see Robert Pattinson blow his own hand (or other body parts) off?
Watching brawls won't get you a visit from the 4chan party van.
More videos of police brutality will hopefully lead to less tolerance of it from the public.
And Anchorage is in Alaska, which elected Sarah Palin governor, until she quit. Is anyone surprised the state is at least half full of idiots? |

Prop 5 - Daycare
04/01/12, 23:03 I logged in to also post in favor of Izzard Day Care. My stars for you.
And for those people who disagree, I'd ask where they'd want their children to learn the importance of the choice, "Cake or Death?" From the hoodlums on the streets? |

Ouch My Russia - bad branch break
03/30/12, 16:28 Ouch, indeed. But I must question the title. No branch actually broke. |

7-Up 'Bubbles' ad
03/30/12, 13:35 Wow. Cirque De Soliel used to be really weird. |

Santorum's Freudian slip
03/30/12, 13:32 I have a friend that will swear up and down that there's no difference between Republicans and Democrats, then turn around and tell me why he's (still) voting solidly Republican, in spite of the party being run by religious nutters.
I'm sorry, but even if both parties are corrupted by money, one of them revels in it while the other at least makes an effort at reigning in what the monied interests are doing (though their opposites across the aisle kill any attempts). Only one party wants to give the uber-wealthy more tax breaks and kill off what little social safety net threads are still present. Only one party will propose regulatory legislation that might curb some of the economically destructive bullshit that's been going on for the past forty years, and so on.
Obama's not perfect, and neither are the Democrats. But holy mother of fuck, the GOP is an insane asylum where they play Ayn Rand audiobooks over the muzak system 24/7, except on Sundays where they all worship Supply-Side Jesus for half the day. |

NASA- Perpetual Ocean
03/30/12, 12:41 Yeah, but it sucks someone took all the trees. And the clouds.
Shit, is this one of those "Star Trek" planets? |

One Winged Pumpkin
03/29/12, 18:16 For you.
Hey! Suddenly I can speak more English better! |

A Towers Video Games Commercial from 1982
03/28/12, 21:36 Also, relevant to the E.T. cartridge debacle:

03/28/12, 21:35 It wasn't an undisclosed location, it was a landfill. They did crush them all with a steamroller before pouring the concrete, to ensure that nobody would try digging them up. |

Just What Is It With These Ribbons Anyway?
03/28/12, 21:06 He's Canadian?
I thought this kind of thing didn't happen up there. Something to do with the cold weather killing off the incredibly stupid or something. |

Mutant League [Football]: The Movie
03/28/12, 14:51 I'm rather impressed that a pro-football player didn't start weeping over the loss of his junk when he got skeletonized. |

Shnookums and Meat: Poodle Panic
03/28/12, 13:56 I really don't see how Cow & Chicken could have made it to air without Ren & Stimpy having been there before. Nick wanted the same random humor without a royal whack-job writing the scripts. Dave Feiss worked on Ren & Stimpy, as did a lot of other people who later came over to Cow & Chicken. Basically, it's an exported version of R&S.
Not that C&C wasn't a good show. I liked the Red Guy character and even some of the I.M. Weasel spin-off episodes, but there's really no question what the show owed its existence to. |

Recordings made by Alexander Graham Bell Heard for the First Time
03/28/12, 12:12 If this is "for the first time," then are we to assume that it didn't work for Bell when he tried to play it back?
He probably misconfigured the IRQs. I hated screwing with that stuff back in the days of the original Doom. |

03/28/12, 09:31 It's also great how they pimp the Odyssey with "Munchkin" (KC Munchkin, actually), since that earned the system a lawsuit from the makers of Pac-Man. |

Tokyo Disneyland Anime Commercial
03/27/12, 20:49 It sounds like Disney, much like every other studio, makes good movies in spite of the assholes in charge, rather than because of them. It's a pity it's bleeding over to Pixar now, as they've come down with a really bad case of sequel-itis.
It might not be the reason it sucked so much on a technical level, but one forum (I think it might have been Fark) had a guy purporting to be a CGI animator at a major studio explaining why the "burly brawl" in the Matrix might have looked as shitty as it did in places. The suits come down to see what "they" are doing and look over an animator's shoulder. The animator is trying to make Neo look as real as possible by adding imperfections, blurs, etc. to the models so he doesn't look like a Ken doll. The suit, knowing jack shit about animation, doesn't like how "bad" the frames look, and orders them to be cleaned up, thereby "doing something" and "earning" his salary. |

Call Upon the Sea Ponies
03/27/12, 19:57 So these are dickponies, essentially? |
 |
Tokyo Disneyland Anime Commercial
03/27/12, 18:36 I like Cartoon Brew for trailers and trivia, but more and more of their articles are starting to sound like they're written by a drunken old cartoon fan on his porch in a wifebeater waving a broken bottle at whatever studio just did something they think raped the memory of Chuck Jones. |
