Don't call me PUSSY

I can't help thinking Shrek is partially to blame for this. Also, the Doom-style backgrounds are pretty retro.

Maybe it'th noth a typo. It could jutht be the way they thpell.
Fox news about gas prices in 2008
03/13/12, 01:37

They're not doing that!

They're leasing pristine land for oil drilling for pennies and then SUBSIDIZING the companies that pump it out and sell it to whoever at market price.
Porn Star a middle school teacher
03/13/12, 01:11

About the only place a teacher's past (or current) history in porn should be an issue is MAYBE gym, and only if they're teaching aerobics involving a pole.

I'm almost thinking conservatives don't like this sort of thing not just because it involves icky-nasty sex-bits, ew-ew, it also demonstrates what a lot of teachers have to do to earn a halfway decent living.
Fox news about gas prices in 2008
03/13/12, 01:09

The funny thing is how I'm hearing about how the President and Congress can't affect gas prices.

While I'm sure that's true from the standpoint that they can't be expected to order gas prices to lower by their sheer podium-thumping skills or somehow seclude domestic supplies from the world oil market (we're currently exporting gas and diesel in the hundreds of thousands of barrels), they tend to leave out what happens if a President, say, invades a large Middle Eastern country for no good reason, or threatens another with bombing, etc.

That kind of thing tends to have some results, eventually. But yeah, this video and the talking points therein: Completely expected.

Not to mention several of the images came from existing sources. Still, it was a teaser, and stuff moved.

By the way, shouldn't the tag be spelled Nyarlatothep?
Game On (Song for Rick Santorum)
03/11/12, 19:08

It all started when the GOP forged a pact with the Religious Right in the early 90's, and it's all been a steady descent deeper into the asylum ever since.
Game On (Song for Rick Santorum)

This is what happens when Fox News is your "inspiration."

"Factories back on our Shores" isn't going to happen with "Lower Taxes," since it's all going to the wealthy anyway and the tax code currently lets them dodge paying taxes by shipping everything overseas. This also overlooks completely how modern manufacturing works, but never mind.

The random capitalization reminds me of the "Torgoizer" text filter, and seems rather apt.
Project KARA (tech demo from Quantic Dream)

It can be considered art, but it's not a video game. At best, it's a cutscene.
Cancer is a Fungus and curable with Baking Soda

Because onions only cure AIDS, duh.

@Redford: You're seeing what I think is referred to as the Dietary Supplement industry. As long as you're not marketing your miracle substance as a drug, nor are you making any direct claims about its effects, you can sell pebbles as some kind of "natural supplement" in drug stores anywhere. Hell, since kids below the age of 5 can't take most cold medication, the stuff that's brewed up for them and sold in Walgreen's (that isn't motrin or ibuprofin) is all FUCKING HOMEOPATHIC.

Watching a lot of the "cure" sales pitches are a lot like listening to Bush Administration speeches trying to tie Iraq to 9/11. They never directly say "Iraq was behind 9/11," but by putting them in sentences close to each other, they duped millions.

Not to mention this sort of magical thinking about cancer probably contributed to Steve Jobs' death. His cancer was among the more easily treated, but he wanted some "alternative" to science, so he wouldn't have to experience icky stuff like surgery.
Pat Robertson Advocates Prison Reform
03/09/12, 20:26

Five pentagrams for Pat, though I'm half expecting someone to dig up some news of a relative/associate being busted for pot as the cause for this.

And the YT comments encouraging people to vote Ron Paul are depressing, yet unsurprising.
Ratatoing, The Annotoinged Movie
03/09/12, 16:09

"Hey, starving concept artist! Get over here!"
"Okay, but I can't stop mopping the bathrooms for more than three minutes or my boss makes me use my hair for a scrub brush."
"Can you draw some cartoon mice? We're making a movie and we'd like some characters to animate, chop-chop."
"Will I get paid?"
"It's for a movie, kid. You'll get a percentage of the net, right after catering and the three call girls that will be servicing me throughout the production."
"Will you pay for my art supplies?"
"What do I look like, an ATM? We could find a hundred other artists to do this, but I thought you wanted a shot at the big time."
"Okay, okay. I'll have them for you after I scrub the building's septic tank."
"Before. We've got a schedule to keep."
"I guess I could--"
"And write up a script while you're at it. Here. Use this Pixar film as a go-by."
"I wish I weren't religious and I could commit suicide without fear of damnation."
"That was your best job qualification. Now hop to it."

They sort of fell into the pseudo-Flash animation mostly because Cartoon Network didn't give them any money to work with, really. I think "Sealab" is the best of the bunch overall, though "Space Ghost" was the first one they did by just yanking crap animation from Hanna-Barbera's vaults.

But yeah, they kind of shot for "random and/or drug humor" and over time became a video version of Keenspot.

And sadly, that gas station worker can probably claim more dignity than those who made this.

He's just taken his daily GOP Parrot Point enema and has to claim going to college is "snooty" in spite of the fact that the bazillionaires he idolizes and wants to support with his tax money all went to college.

Besides, if Enjoy ever got any real sort of education, that could lead to self-reflection, and that would be very, very unpleasant.
Steve Forbes Eats a Cheeseburger. 1996 presidential campaign
03/08/12, 21:05

It wasn't like Clinton had to pretend he liked cheeseburgers and fries (and doughnuts and pie and on and on). His love of greasy stuff even became a running gag on Letterman.

I'd be surprised to see a Forbes magazine in a fast-food dive, much less someone with the last name.

And that if you're awful enough at something, eventually you go beyond awful into something that people will want to see. It's whatever makes "Jersey Shore" popular.
World's Biggest Dog

One look at his other videos will show you just how wrong you are! How can one person have so many videos of non-moving biggest and smallest animals in the world and be a teller of tall tales?
Morgasm

Me, neither. I just meant something that pays something around lower-middle class, probably involving lots of repetitive forms or data entry.
