I'm guessing parades and inaugurations need stuff to be going on in front of the crowd while you're watching the hosts wear headsets and talk to each other about how exciting the event is, and he provides it.
He's basically the foam packing peanuts of public events, providing some cushion for the stuff people might actually find entertaining. |

He must be pandering to the Tea Party commandment of "trust not any who know more than you or are smarter than you, for they art trying to trickest thee." If only they'd apply that equally to other professionals they hire, like doctors, maybe the Tea Party and its growing singularity of ignorance might pass away from colloidal silver poisoning or something. |

Uh, yeah, SolRo, that's all it takes. Because their illness won't come up with new delusions to work any "kindness" into their narrative.
Any actual help short of some kind of coping mechanism (good luck finding that) or a treatment that would probably sound like their worst conspiracy-fueled nightmare probably isn't a lasting solution for anyone involved. |

I think it was back in the 90's when the GOP said, "we need people who will vote for us no matter how few promises we keep." They found the Religious Right, and those guys opened the door to a whole boatload of crazy. Slowly, however, the crazy crept up from this newfound group of loonies and spread into their pundits and even their elected officials who see conspiracy around every corner, think the cold war never ended, and that Jesus is going to be pissed when he returns in a year or two and doesn't see a lot of brown people dead. |

This report leaves out some later developments about this douche canoe's antics:
- He did this after reading articles he "researched" on the internet.
- He didn't like the fact that Michelle Obama is the honorary leader of the girl scouts (just like every other First Lady, but "facts" are for commies, I guess).
- He's putting his girls into some even MORE Christianized "scout" like organization, because there's nothing like using your kids as political tools.
- Other Republicans announced they're withdrawing their signatures from supporting the girl scouts, since the bar for crazy just got lowered.
This is what happens, GOP, when you rely on the religious and/or crazy to be your base. |
