Glenn Beck talks about building Theme Park: 'Independence Park'
01/12/13, 23:05 None of his money will go into this. It'll have more financial shenanigans than the mortgage crisis, and if it ever does break ground, it'll wind up being a curiosity for the urban exploration blogs and a handful of patsies will wind up holding the bag for the accumulated debt and bankruptcy.
Beck will assign himself some kind of salary and blame the government for sabotaging the project, assuming the residents don't do it for him with even wilder conspiracies. |

Sonic the Hedgehog Fan Film
01/12/13, 13:02 At a guess, I'd say this is done in a similar way to how Uwe Boll films get actors you've heard of to be in his latest video game catastrophe films: You just hit up the actors' agents with a pitch along the lines of "here's the title, we only need your guy/gal for about five minutes, and here's what we pay."
If there's no pay involved, I'm betting they hit up the "if we get noticed and a studio wants to throw money at us to make a real movie, you're first in line for the call" angle. |

Sonic the Hedgehog Fan Film
01/12/13, 12:59 Many of these stars are for placing this in the Short Film sub-category of Religious.
Even if it's not meant to be a joke, it's still the most fitting label. |

Neverwet Water Repellent
01/11/13, 21:19 By cartoon irony-logic, it makes everything it touches as unstable as flashpaper soaked in gasoline. |

Pack Your Bags (Part 2)
01/11/13, 19:55 The reason why these tough guys haven't started overthrowing everything must be due to the fact they're all far too polite and keep insisting someone else have the honor of going first.
Otherwise, they'd just be a bunch of bullshit geysers, and that's just impossible. |

Cyberpunk 2077 Teaser Trailer
01/11/13, 12:05 I found the Witcher to be far too emo-goth-anime to even be remotely taken seriously. We got grimdark "I'm so complicated and mopey" for a protagonist and hentai-clad women running around trying to make important-sounding dialog come out of their inflatable-doll faces.
But whatever works for you, I guess. |

Shyamalan's Newest Turd Nugget Movie - trailer
01/11/13, 12:02 He hasn't had an "Ishtar" to his name yet.
His movies are pretentious attempts to make episodes of The Outer Limits most of the time. His early movies are still well-regarded, but as he became the "what a twist" guy, he's almost a walking spoiler for his films. Everyone goes in looking for what the change-up is going to be rather than to enjoy themselves. His direction seems to be getting worse as well, but that's not why he keeps getting to make movies.
As Kevin Smith said, as long as your movies make this much [holds thumb and forefingers a half inch apart] profit, you'll keep working. It's when you're handed a blockbuster budget and you completely screw the pooch to the point where studio accounting and re-shoots can't save it that you're probably out for good. |

Eric Bolling calls out algebra as a liberal indoctrination technique.
01/11/13, 11:57 This would only work to fire up the completely uneducated, so how could--?
Oh, right. It's Fox News. |

Shyamalan's Newest Turd Nugget Movie - trailer
01/11/13, 03:23 "Will Smith also hired a guy who does nothing but teach his son how to sound more urban black."
He's turning his kid's life into the movie "Hollywood Shuffle," then. |

Shyamalan's Newest Turd Nugget Movie - trailer
01/11/13, 03:22 I have no problem with Tom Cruise in films. He can act, no doubt about it.
Off the set, he's a whackjob who pays money to a sci-fi themed cult so he can wear a space navy uniform. I have no trouble separating the lunatic from his art. |

Sandy Hook Families Interviewed All Fake Update
01/11/13, 01:44 A lot of this reaction seems to be a result of the right wing echo chamber, much in the same way we saw people like Karl Rove lose their shit on election night. These gun nuts are in their own little bubble of how no gun owner could possibly be an unhinged spree killer, no gun owner could ever turn a gun on someone unless their target was a criminal and/or government tyrant, etc.
When it does happen and their worldview is challenged, they can't handle it. It can't be true, or they have to re-think all of their "guns make people super-patriot heroes defending liberty against the godless liberals" dogma. So, in response, not only isn't the problem that just about anyone can get a gun, the real problem is that the conspiracy to stage killings so guns can be taken away or restricted must be exposed, because THAT'S the only RATIONAL explanation.
These days, the mating call of such individuals seems to be "wake up, people." |

Comedy Night (Xbox 360) - The Stand Up Acts of Racist 12-Year-Olds
01/11/13, 01:39 Is the team responsible for designing and coding this thing forced to watch the fruits of their meddling, made to sit through the darkness of the human souls they've helped to lay bare?
Did no one pause when the words "what could possibly go wrong" were uttered? |

Dictator Obama is Going to Take Your Guns
01/10/13, 22:10 That was hardly an assault weapons ban. They grandfathered in the piles of them that were already out there, making the "ban" rather meaningless. |

'Absolute Proof That Sandy Hook Was Staged'
01/10/13, 12:06 Here you go:
http://www.politifact.com/texas/statements/2012/apr/30/chain-email/chain-email-says-homeland-security-purchasing-many/
The gist of the write-up is:
"Homeland Security has contracted to buy up to 450 million .40-caliber bullets -- and that total exceeds the nation’s population. Significantly, though, the purchase contract covers five years; there’s no indication the agency is piling up the bullets in a hurry.
More significantly, we found nothing to support the email’s ominous suggestions. Rather, the large size of the contract is explained as a way for the government to buy in bulk to save money on ammunition used routinely for training officers in a wide variety of agencies." |

Shyamalan's Newest Turd Nugget Movie - trailer
01/10/13, 11:43 I blame the overseas market. Thanks to worldwide movie distribution, all you need to rake in the bucks is the occasional special effects bonanza scene. That either overshadows the bad acting, the bad acting is "fixed" with dubs in the local language, or the ticket buyers just don't care.
It's why the Garfield movie made more than the Hellboy movie. The first probably doesn't even require subtitles for the audience to understand what's going on. |

Shyamalan's Newest Turd Nugget Movie - trailer
01/10/13, 11:40 I predict that the twist is Will wakes up as Tom Cruise in that other "oh, crap this is really Earth" sci-fi movie that's being released at the same time. |
 |
Shyamalan's Newest Turd Nugget Movie - trailer
01/10/13, 11:40 I'll be completely surprised if he doesn't throw an "aw, HAIL naw!" in there somewhere.
As for the "Earth" vs. "Erf" thing, I think he's capable of both and uses whichever he thinks fits his character. That character is usually either "Will with a gun" or "Will with a lady," but they're both possibilities. |
