Uh, no. Airsoft guns fire pellets that are in the neighborhood of 3 grams. The type of gas pistol used in the video is a self-defense item intended to be non-lethal, and the more popular models fire rubber bullets that are about 11.5 grams. At close range, they can cause lethal injuries.
Calling it an airsoft gun is like calling a stick of dynamite an M-80. |

I'd have more confidence if federal studies were allowed, too.
The NRA makes sure the CDC and law enforcement can't effectively gather data on gun deaths (make, model, demographics, etc.) or study them (which guns cause more deaths, under what circumstances, how available are they, etc.). Gee, you'd think they were afraid of facts or something. |
