The Principle --trailer

False flag? You mean they didn't come out and use the g-word?

1:16 - "You can go on some websites about NASA and see they've been taking down stuff that might hint to a geocentric universe."

Then they followed it up with crap about the Earth being "special" and so on and so forth.

Also, Lawrence Krauss, a physicist who shows up in this thing, said it was about geocentrism, that he'd been quote-mined, and to ignore the film:

It's geocentrism.

Metafilter linked to an article about this where Rick DeLano (login name) defended this movie to the hilt with all kinds of cray-cray:

Claiming the actions of those involved in manufacturing anything as "voluntary," as if they were all equals or at least had equal information about what was going on, is laughable in the extreme.

I'm sure the miners digging up rare earth elements in China are happy to be part of Libertopia.

What I find ironic is how these ardent capitalists will point to places like Nazi Germany, Communist Cuba, and Stalinist Russia as the heights of evil.

They skip over what "capitalism" did to those places before everything went all shooty-gulag. You'd think they might actually figure out that if you fuck the people over long enough, not only will they do destructive things, they might install that which they claim to be their worst nightmare.

I also find it funny how rarely they bring up the French Revolution. Odd, that.

I'd give it a chance. They managed to keep the filming under wraps for the most part, which is kind of an achievement in this day and age.

Generational? It's been with us for a while.

South Park, Kevin Smith's movies, Pewdie Pie, RedLetterMedia, etc. are sources of comedy (for various tastes) that often feature heavy use of profanity. Others decide, "Hey, I can be funny, too. I'll imitate that stuff and make lots of money."

Through hours of study, they decide that the secret of its hilarity must be the swearing.

This is like deciding the key to making a nationally best-selling soft drink is its label.

Why I Like Packard Bell Computers

They were great computers....

...if you got them at Best Buy with a replacement plan BEFORE they started making the plans suck. If you could backup your data somewhere else, you'd basically get a new computer for free every 6 months or so.

From the direction of motion you indicate, you are unfamiliar with what one does when one does the wave.

TMNT-It's Just A Mask!

Bingo.

CGI can do amazing stuff, but it's all in who's in charge of the designs. CGI cartoon characters with realistic skin textures are bad enough, but when they have human-looking eyes, you think they just arrived from another dimension and scooped a handy pair of peepers out of a random victim to put into their abyss-like eye sockets before showing up on camera.

Once again, money makes people lazy, unless they're paid millions to sit in a boardroom and jerk each other off, because capitalism.

They may not be all that comparatively wealthy, but I wouldn't mind seeing the talking heads from Fox adorning the same row of pikes as the heads from Goldman Sachs and Koch Industries.
Marvel Disc Wars: The Avengers

Spider-Man was in the Avengers for a while, before that whole "Civil War" thing.

I didn't even pick it up and I learned most of plot by osmosis. They gave Spider-Man some Iron-Man style armor, which is ALWAYS a good idea.
