Legend of the Hawaiian Slammers
10/25/12, 09:21 This is pretty much Yu-Gi-Oh with disc-shaped cards, isn't it? It seems to make about as much sense. |

Richard Mourdock: Pregnancy From Rape Is 'Something That God Intended to Happen'
10/25/12, 02:09 It'd be nice if that happened, but since voting Republican has been equated with voting for Jesus, the party faithful are still voting for their god-bothering zealots in droves. |

Richard Mourdock: Pregnancy From Rape Is 'Something That God Intended to Happen'
10/24/12, 20:22 From this tea-party douchewipe's "apology:
"I believe God controls the universe," Mourdoch told reporters, who asked if he thought pregnancies resulting from rape were God's plan. "I don't believe biology works in an uncontrolled fashion."
Hey, asshole. You just said your God orchestrates all the rapes. And you just showed how little you understand about biology.
More? Why not?
“I spoke from my heart. And speaking from my heart, speaking from the deepest level of my faith, I would not apologize. I would be less than faithful if I said anything other than life is precious; I believe it’s a gift from god,” Mourdock said.
So does that mean every rape is just God giving his gifts? Oh, and you spoke from your heart? Glad to see it's the flinty, evil, ignorant wasteland everyone pretty much figured it was. You spoke what you truly believe, and what you believe is sick and wrong. |

Diggin' out Jiggers
10/24/12, 17:20 And to think all these years I've been measuring alcohol in jiggers when I shouldn't have been using parasitic fleas in the first place! |

The Shadow (1994, full movie)

Empires of the Deep - Trailer
10/24/12, 07:18 Aren't they making a Sub-Mariner movie?
...oh god... |

Empires of the Deep - Trailer
10/24/12, 05:52 Wow. Spongebob got dark rather quickly. |

shut up
10/24/12, 05:50 In theory, anything with motion is animated, but how do cartoons figure into this? Was there a series of Saturday morning TV that caused this? |

Iron Man 3 Trailer
10/24/12, 03:16 You mean Doc Samson, right? |

The Shadow (1994, full movie)
10/23/12, 23:41 What was cool about the Rocketeer was the teaser trailer that made it look really heroic, bad-ass, and made me want to build my own jetpack.
Then it turned out to be pretty live-action Disney watered-down with a club in the shape of a bulldog. There were some neat visuals, but it didn't live up to its potential. |

The Shadow (1994, full movie)
10/23/12, 21:16 It's worse.
It was made at the tail end of the bluescreen-CGI handover, and it shows. It was as if the moviemakers didn't care for doing either well.
Not to mention the plot was awful and had some weird leaps of logic (the Shadow has guns that can blow holes in concrete, but when he's in a giant tank with porthole-windows, he tries to smash the glass with his elbow and then shrugs his guns off into the rising water). It's too bad, since they had a halfway decent cast and could have made a fun semi-supernatural noir movie. |

Iron Man 3 Trailer
10/23/12, 19:04 Garcet, you left out the rest of the conversation:
"Hmm... Maybe this would be racist. What else can we do?"
"Well, there's always the aping of other popular movies in a flailing attempt to hijack their popularity?"
"What were you thinking?"
"The Hobbit is coming out, and it's about a ring."
"And we've got TEN rings!"
"Right."
"So we make the Mandarin look like one of the dwarfs!"
"Sure, why not?" |

Hollow Earth, Sinkhole or Impact Crater Leaked Footage
10/23/12, 19:01 I didn't think anyone still bought into that whole "you only use 10% of your brain" BS anymore. I guess if you're hoping you have psychic powers, there's nothing else for you... |

Support the Freedom to succeed
10/23/12, 12:29 Among the many things I detest is how they've equated "putting the tax code back the way it was even under Reagan" with somehow breaking down mansion doors and stealing all the cash (as if the rich have a ton of cash stuffed in their homes for anything other than decoration).
40 years of lowering taxes on the wealthiest Americans and there's no increase in actual jobs or real wages. Huh. Fancy that. |

The loneliest little youtube celebrity
10/23/12, 10:15 These stars are for his mix of clueless kid-show-host presentation and random Christianity. And one is for his CGI co-host's hair and its many clipping problems.
I think we can safely say that anything with the word "Wacky" in it probably doesn't deserve the title of "wacky." The only exceptions being Wacky Packages (the trading card stickers) and Hanna-Barbera's Wacky Races. |

Support the Freedom to succeed
10/23/12, 04:24 Calling even the most extreme interpretation of "liberal" proposals in the U.S. "socialism" is like calling a plantation owner being required to give his slaves water "socialism."
Also, I'm sick of this fucker's face on YouTube every time it serves up an ad. I'm hearing his idiotic intro in my sleep now. |

Dead Heat (1988) trailer
10/22/12, 17:28 Wow. Joe Piscopo. He's one of those has-beens that erases himself from your mind the moment you stop looking at... um...
What is this post about, again? |

Bill Moyers: Plutocracy Rising
10/22/12, 13:53 In this day and age, I think this quote from "The Science of Discworld, Volume II" is more appropriate:
"You have forgotten that there is no narrativium in this world. It does not know how stories should go. Here the third son of a king is probably just a useless weak prince. Here, there are no heroes, only degrees of villainy. An old lady gathering wood in the forest is just an old lady and not, as in your world, almost certainly a witch. Oh, there's a belief in witches. But a witch here is merely a method of ridding society of burdensome old ladies and an inexpensive way of keeping the fire going all night. Here, gentlemen, good does not ultimately triumph at the expense of a few bruises and a non-threatening shoulder wound. Here, evil is generally defeated by a more organized kind of evil. My world, gentlemen. Not yours. Good day to you." |

Food Fight (2012) streaming 24/7
10/22/12, 10:47 You guys are bitching as if it's easy to land a job in Hollywood. These actors toss off stuff like this the way regular people do data entry, walk a beat, or do office work. It's a job, and if you're not an A-list actor, you can't be all that picky about what your agent can find for you. Besides, it's often a year or more before a gig you worked on sees a screen, so by then you've (hopefully) landed work on something more prestigious which will be remembered while the crap fades away. |

VENUS IsNot VENUS! ItIs AMEN-NIBIRU, The Return of His Imperial Majesty! H.I.M.
10/22/12, 05:24 This is some crazy shit right here. This all comes from some woman who claimed that aliens put a chip in her head in '95, sending her messages about Planet X or Nibiru or some planet-out-of-nowhere that was going to crash into the Earth. She even claimed the Hale-Bopp comet was Nibiru, and now the people that bought into this garbage think a comet that's going to be about as bright as the moon next year is the new Nibiru.
I often think I work too hard at trying to come up with legitimate things I can do/make to earn a living, when all I have to do is get drunk and/or high, write down the loopiest shit I can, and claim it's a new religion. I'd be set for life. |
