The last 10 minutes of Mannequin 2: On the Move
09/24/12, 20:21 This and Mac & Me are the only two films left on Netflix, I think. |

Jo Ann Castle, ladies and gentlemen
09/24/12, 19:10 Actually, I saw this when I was a wee lad. Not on the original airing, mind, but on my local PBS station. I guess old people were willing to pay a lot to see re-runs of middle-aged aunts with beehives dancing in a cloud of bubbles with embarrassed teenage nephews who you could see were convinced they'd never live down appearing on TV waltzing with their elderly relatives.
It was like the Miracle Whip on Wonder Bread of TV. |

Jo Ann Castle, ladies and gentlemen
09/24/12, 17:41 I love how she remembers to look up at the audience and smile as much as she can as if afraid of getting an electric shock for disobedience.
Also, whoever did... THAT to an old upright piano deserves some kind of punishment involving a permanent mark of shame. |

Dumb mormon girl
09/24/12, 05:26 Oddly enough, buying votes from congresscritters isn't illegal, or at least, not impossible to do via legal means.
But you'd think someone from the Koch Bros. would have set up a vote-buy laundering scheme by now. Maybe the idea of giving money to those who should happily vote them more money and power is galling. |

Stalked in Walmart: What Happens When Organized Stalkers Know Where I'm Going
09/24/12, 03:32 What's up with the copyright notice in the description? I can't find anything under "Dahna H. Chandler" at this imprint from Harper-Collins she cites. |

Stalked in Walmart: What Happens When Organized Stalkers Know Where I'm Going
09/24/12, 03:26 I've thought about maybe writing a gangstalking novel or talking a friend of mine in L.A. to pitching a gangstalking movie.
The problem is it would reinforce the nutters, and maybe inspire more of them. |

Stalked in Walmart: What Happens When Organized Stalkers Know Where I'm Going
09/24/12, 03:25 God, I wish Firefox crashing was gangstalking.
Instead, it's usually flash-related memory leaks. It's only been, what, almost five years now, Mozilla? For all of IE's flaws, I could at least leave it running without coming back an hour later to see all of my RAM being eaten up by one, unused Google.com page. |

Promo for 'Half-Ton Killer'
09/24/12, 03:23 I'm sorry, but the court rules that her ass outweighs your ass. |

First Look: iPhone 5
09/24/12, 03:22 I was kind of amazed they decided to change the plug-in, making it not work with other accessories (didn't the iPhone and iPod have the same charger/data hookup?).
They're making an adapter, I hear, but it's not free (of course) and it doesn't help if your cradle/radio/whatever is made to fit your old iDevice snugly.
I'm still using an old HTC Dream, rooted to run Cyanogen. It's slow sometimes, sure, but I haven't had the desire to blow several hundred bucks on something new for years.
Anyway, five stars for making fun of consumerism gone mad, minus two for Kimmel. |

Resident Evil; Retribution Trailer
09/23/12, 17:43 Someone mentioned that they do well overseas. My theory is the less a movie needs dialog for you to figure out what's going on, the better it'll do in other countries. Does the translation suck? Who cares? It's like complaining about the dialog in a porno.
The audiences just want a spectacle. |

MST3K 622 - Angels' Revenge
09/23/12, 03:18 And Wonko's MST3K one-star vendetta continues. You're pretty much alone on that soapbox, I fear. |

MST3K 622 - Angels' Revenge
09/23/12, 03:16 "I sense the liver spotted hand of Aaron Spelling behind this!" |

Daily Show - Chaos on Bullshit Mountain
09/23/12, 00:22 I read a point raised about the Romney tape. Firstly, his position is bullshit, and we all know it. The weird thing was, the whole "lazy poor" and "they don't pay taxes" stuff was previously thought to be the party line that the inner circles and/or elites knew to be untrue, perpetuated to win elections for themselves and their allies.
The tape shows that they buy into their own brand of bullshit. They're so completely encased in this bubble they've built for themselves that they really believe all the drivel about the economy the GOP and Fox perpetuate. They're not only peddling made-up reality, they now believe it to be real. |

Shiites in London Commemorate the Day Prophet Muhammad's Wife Aisha Passed Away
09/22/12, 23:45 Finding out that one branch of Islam was called "Shiite" was quite the pun-fest for a lot of especially redneck "kick yo ass" country songwriters. |

Shiites in London Commemorate the Day Prophet Muhammad's Wife Aisha Passed Away
09/22/12, 23:44 There was one of the many Lucifer-based comics a few years back that had a jihadist who blew himself up and lived in heaven. Lucifer was driving through on his way to see someone (I forget who) and he and his companion passed by the house this dead terrorist lived in. Lucifer's companion was a bit confused about why this guy had been let into heaven. Lucifer said something about him having to tend to his harem of 72 virgins.
The punchline was that the 72 virgins were all infants, requiring constant diaper changing and feeding.
A whole house full of virgins that had died of old age would have been funny, too. |

Blacks are Selling Themselves into Slavery By Supporting the Democratic Party
09/22/12, 17:30 White conservatives have been spouting this nonsense for decades. They're just now realizing that it might seem a smidge less inane coming from someone who isn't white. |

Resident Evil Afterlife: Final fight
09/22/12, 17:28 These are probably "teh awesome" among those who think Michael Bay can't put out enough movies or think the Star Wars prequels are good because of the fight choreography. Plot is unimportant, kicking ass is.
It's pretty much pro wrasslin' with an effects budget. Stuff like this is probably half the weekend programming for FX, SyFy, and Spike. |

The Saga of Biorn
09/22/12, 15:57 I thought pulling a switcheroo on one's afterlife was what the Mormons were doing. Did the Catholics practice posthumous conversions as well? I know a lot of their deeper thinkers sometimes lamented how all the revered philosophers were pagan and therefore in hell, so... |

Shiites in London Commemorate the Day Prophet Muhammad's Wife Aisha Passed Away
09/22/12, 13:24 Wouldn't a Bizarro Phelps be a reasonable and cheerful agnostic who keeps his opinions to himself? |
