12 Year Old Sentenced to 30 Years in Adult Prison
08/20/11, 08:56 Qualms about the juvenile and adult justice system aside, this story conveniently does not go into many details about the crime. It's true that a kid that age does not have a fully developed frontal lobe, which is why kids generally do stupid things without thinking of the consequences. But this was apparently a premeditated killing--planned for weeks in advance-- because these kids wanted to run away to Arizona. You could try him as a juvenile and have him out around 18 or 21, or as an adult with the possibility of incarcerating him longer. Anyway, I guess I'd like to hear more about the story before deciding whether 25 years (with 5 years suspended) is justified. |

hentai vs free time
07/06/11, 13:15 He's probably more like a .5 out of 10... 6 point deduction for being gross and a creep. I'm not really sure what .5 would translate to in PoE terms...somewhere between VampiricSpektor and Fatman... his peer might be TFLBill. |

hentai vs free time
07/06/11, 11:50 Probably because hentai is the only legal outlet for his deviant sexual proclivities. Also, he's super creepy--and has a youtube channel dedicated to what he's currently gratifying himself to. |

Bankrupt By Beanies
06/22/11, 15:09 Yeah... I remember my own sort of Beanie Baby compulsion, it was called baseball and basketball cards... I mean, there were literally books (such as Becket) that gave you an analysis for the value of specific cards on a monthly basis-- like whether your Stacey Augmon "Masters of Slam" insert increased in value by $.10.
Sidenote: I have the complete Upper Deck Michael Jordan baseball card collection-- although not particularly valuable, it's pretty hilarious in hindsight.
Another sidenote: I would never buy another sports card again, with the exception of the infamous Billy Ripken error card. |
