How to make rotting sausage seem fresh
11/15/12, 15:27 It worked for Dick Gregory, at least according to his cookbook. He claimed he hadn't needed food in something like 14 months. He also claimed it was OK to raise your cats vegan.
He was a pretty good comedian. |

You're Not such a Nerd: Commodification of Nerd and Gamer Sub-culture
11/15/12, 07:56 Fashion Geeks are just as bad as fashion punks but I've got little patience for people who define their identities by their nerd hobby.
I'm probably just in denial about what having nearly 3000 records and half a dozen amplifiers makes me, though. |

White girls attempt to whine it up at a dancehall contest
11/15/12, 07:50 I think you meant to say "THE" not "YOUR." |

Scenes from a Suncoast
11/15/12, 07:40 The West Coast Video (it had only recently been bought out from the local chain that opened it) I worked at in '95 was a lot closer to Clerks (say what you want about Kevin Smith, that movie did a very good job of capturing the early to mid 90s small video store employee experience) but I'd go down to the Suncoast at the mall for blaxploitation and Troma tapes sometimes. It was pretty much the same as this. |

Scenes from a Suncoast
11/15/12, 07:33 My first VHS was the television premiere of Pee Wee's Big Adventure, taped off of HBO the day my family bought our first VCR. |

Outfoxies arcade attract mode
11/15/12, 07:30 I think so too, but it seemed like a good shorthand for "gratutious overuse of realtime bitmap scaling" |

Outfoxies arcade attract mode
11/15/12, 07:26 What's particularly interesting about this is that it came out five years before the original Super Smash Brothers. |

One of the best songs by one of my all time favorite bands! The more you say it the more I think of this song, and the better my mood gets. |

White girls attempt to whine it up at a dancehall contest
11/14/12, 21:56 Butts. |

Outfoxies arcade attract mode
11/14/12, 21:56 It's that you select one of 8 or so characters and then fight against the remaining characters one after the other in a series of arena battles, I think. I don't know, I played it once in the arcade and maybe once in Mame. |

Outfoxies arcade attract mode
11/14/12, 21:05 I got to play this once and I don't remember it being nearly as distracting as it looks. |

Rolling Thunder 2 Intro (Genesis)
11/14/12, 19:50 I've only played this in the arcade, and I kind of sucked. |
 |
Rolling Thunder 2 Intro (Genesis)
11/14/12, 19:49 Agreed. I wish Genesis music had anywhere near the community support that NES music does, a Genesis counterpart to MidiNES would be fantastic.
That said, the NES bass channel is still my favorite chip tone of all time. |

Armadillo Cam
11/14/12, 19:34 I submitted an updated link, but I never saw this so I don't know if it's the same video. If not, it's still probably an adequate replacement. |

Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie
11/14/12, 19:32 Can this be "lifestyle nerds" week, or would that be more than we could cope with? |

Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie
11/14/12, 19:31 Ritual genital mutilation exists, too. |

Harvey & Toby discuss Revenge of the Nerds
11/14/12, 19:29 Yeah, first I thought of the comic and then I thought of this and then I thought about how the guy who made that video is actually one of the fake nerds Harvey is talking about in this.
The only truly accurate depictions of nerds I've seen on TV (that I can think of off the top of my head) are Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys and Bill from Freaks and Geeks. |

He-Man was a Nazi
11/14/12, 17:56 You know what happened to him? He DIED. |

Grand Theft Auto V - Trailer 2
11/14/12, 16:24 Such a huge budget yet the character animation is still only marginally better than an NMA cartoon. |

Mystery the Man on the Peacocking Concept
11/14/12, 16:21 I didn't know what that meant when this was posted but unfortunately I have a vague idea what it means now. |
