Not the farms, the distribution network. Farms would be small, independent, sustainable, far more efficient than current factory farming methods, which are only efficient in terms of concentrating profits in the hands of the smallest group possible. The benefits in terms of price to the consumer are pretty much a result of subsidies. |

The other video of him linked above is older, and he mentions a few times in the first 6 or 7 minutes (all I've managed to watch of any of these) that it's especially hard for him as a 5'4" Asian man. Looks like he found a solution to the height problem, anyway. |

It's funny, I keep hearing that lately but I handled tons of snakes and turtles and the occasional lizard all throughout my childhood and didn't pay any attention to washing my hands and I definitely had them near or on my face on plenty of occasions), and I never got sick once. Of all the people in my adult life I've met who have cold-blooded pets (usually turtles), only one of them paid any attention to the potential for getting sick, yet none of them ever did. At this point I'm skeptical that anyone without a seriously compromised immune system is likely to get sick from one of these guys. |
