A school in Pittsburgh was locked down
03/01/13, 16:31 The way things have been going lately, I'm honestly a little surprised they didn't charge him with something anyway. |

A school in Pittsburgh was locked down
03/01/13, 16:29 This is so ridiculous I don't even feel the need to make any dumb jokes about "beaver county." |

Fedoras are awesome
03/01/13, 11:07 Improv is like punk (or noise) music: When it's done well it is vital and amazing, but the bar for entry is so low (all you need is a shitty guitar you can barely play, or a couple of pedals and a Radio Shack microphone, or a complete lack of self respect and suddenly you're doing punk/noise/improv) that it is very rarely done well. |

Graphical evolution of First Person Shooters: 1992-2012
03/01/13, 11:01 Descent.
It's kind of debatable whether it's technically an FPS but at least among the people I knew it was seen as the next step after Doom. Briefly. |

Graphical evolution of First Person Shooters: 1992-2012
03/01/13, 10:59 Hell, they should have put escent in there.
Heretic/Hexen I can see omitting sice they're both glorified Doom mods and didn't bring anything new graphically. |

Graphical evolution of First Person Shooters: 1992-2012
03/01/13, 10:56 Yeah, I hadn't finished the video and thought it was one of the later Sierra flight sims. |

60 Minutes Interview with Jack Abramoff
03/01/13, 10:55 So judging from that shot of his home at the end, even after being prosecuted, serving time and being something like 25 million in debt he's still living more comfortably than I or my hardworking, lower middle class parents ever have (and still seems proud of how he did what he did, even if he supposedly regrets doing it). 5 for evil. |

A beaver puppet plays ping-pong against itself for ten hours.
03/01/13, 10:14 Humor, man. What's up with THAT? |

Mike Adamle's Freudian Slip.
03/01/13, 10:12 I heard it too. |

Achewood animated series test footage
03/01/13, 10:05 Just like the Bloom County holiday special, there's no way the voice action couldn't be at least a little disappointing compared to just imagining it, but setting that aside this is pretty fantastic. I don't know if it would stand on its own without the comic but for what it is it's much better than I expected!
I agree with Oscar, Ray's voice isn't so good. Roast Beef's is almost perfect though. |

Living On a Prayer (Goat Edition)
03/01/13, 09:59 My high school got a couple of goats when I was in 10th or 11th grade. they were pretty great. |

Watching T.V. with A Giant Black Throat Monitor
02/28/13, 23:56 The Russian experiment, I mean. |

Watching T.V. with A Giant Black Throat Monitor
02/28/13, 23:55 Solro, it actually only took a couple generations, it was really fast. |

Graphical evolution of First Person Shooters: 1992-2012
02/28/13, 23:24 Quake 1 was the last one with any real distinctive style at all. |

Tura Satana in The Astro-Zombies
02/28/13, 22:52 I mean, I managed to sit through Th Worm Eaters at least three times (and I'd do it again dammit) and The Corpse Grinders at least twice, but this one is just impossible, right down there with The Blue Lagoon. |

So Google just launched the Chromebook Pixel
02/28/13, 22:32 It's actually 1x1, all that other stuff is interpolated in hardware. |

So Google just launched the Chromebook Pixel
02/28/13, 22:24 Incidentally, it's also the only version of Windows that actually performs well with solid state drives. I guess 7 does OK too. |
